Chapter Six: Anniversary

I wake up screaming Peeta's name. "Katniss, Katniss. Shh. Shh. I'm right here. Your okay." he says comforting me. I nod and lay down. He holds me tight until I have calmed down. "Are you okay now?" I nod my head slowly as if I was questioning it. "Are you sure?" he asks. "Yes." I say softly. "Get dressed I have a special day planned for us" he says. I get up and put on some jeans and a nice shirt. I braid my hair in the way i always do. Peeta has on jeans and a nice shirt. "Ready?"he asks sweetly "Yes." I answer. We leave and enter the woods. We go to the lake and Peeta sets out a blanket. We sit down and Peeta opens the picnic basket. "Bon appetite." Peeta says trying to sound French. I laugh a little and we start eating. We finish eating and Peeta helps me clean up. I put the basket in the cabin that is there. Peeta takes me into the cabin and pulls me onto the couch. We lay down and he pulls out a box. "Happy Anniversary Katniss." I grab the box and look inside. It is a necklace with two rings identical to our wedding rings. They are silver. Peeta's has: 'You love me Real or not real' engraved in it and mine has: 'Real' engraved on it. I allow tears to run down my face. "Thank you Peeta. I love it." I say putting it on. I kiss him and smiles form on both of our faces. "I am so happy your mine." he says sweetly. Peeta follows me over to the bookshelf and pull out a book. It is a photo album. Peeta and I sit and look at the pictures. When we finish I drag Peeta out of the cabin and we go for a walk. It is getting dark. We walk for a while and then we head home. "It's after 10:00. I'm going to sleep. Goodnight." I say sleepy. "Goodnight" Peeta says walking up the stairs after me. We both climb in bed and drift off to sleep.
