Chapter Seven: The Book

I wake up and Peeta is still snoring lightly. It makes me giggle softly. I kiss him on the nose hoping it would wake him up. He rolls over but doesn't wake up. I frown. I kiss him on the lips and he still doesn't wake up. I shake him and call his name. He finally wakes up. "Good-" he begins. "Peeta will you make me some cheesebuns?" "Yeah." he says kissing my nose. "Peeta." I say. "Yeah?" he answers "Will you teach me how to bake?" I ask. "Of course. When?" he says. "Now." I say "Ok. Lets go." We walk downstairs. We get in the kitchen and get out the ingredients. "I will teach you how to cook under one condition." He says moving toward the flour next to me. "What?" I say moving closer to it. "No more throwing flour." he says moving it away from me. "Ok." I say acting upset. He kisses my nose and I smile. We get started with baking. We Put them in the oven. We go sit down and talk about baby names. The phone rings. "Hello. Annie?" I ask worried because last time this happened Gale was in the hospital. "Julianna is sick. So you want me to bring her home or can she stay?" "Ummmm... it's up to her." "Okay. Hold on." There is a moment of silence. "She said she wants to stay." "Okay she can come home whenever she wants. I will pick her up when she is ready." "Okay. Bye." "Bye." I hang up. I turn around and jump. Peeta is standing very close to me looking very worried. "Is everything okay?" "Yes. Julianna is sick is all." We jump as Haymitch bursts through the door stumbling. "HAYMITCH!!" Peeta shouts. I laugh because I have never heard Peeta shout at Haymitch like that before. "What?" He asks looking at me trying not to smile. "Nothing." I say trying to sound innocent. We both look at Haymitch then look at each other and laugh because Haymitch has passed out on the floor. Peeta picks him up and takes upstairs. I notice a book on the floor. Haymitch must have knocked it over when he fell. I pick up the book then recognize what book it is.
