The following days consisted of my normal schedule. School, training, and Jaxon occupied my time and I couldn't be happier. There was no way I was letting Kendall come back into my life with his meaningless threats. I had gotten through that relationship and made it out alive, I can certainly do it again.
After that evening with Kendall attacking me in my own home I had made up my mind and had contacted the police in this district, letting them know about the restraining. They were extremely helpful and pointed me in the right direction to get the orders moved to this district since I had moved back.
Once everything with the police had been cleared up it felt like a weight had been taken off my shoulders. Unfortunately there wasn't much the police could do by law to find and arrest Kendall but I was better prepared this time, knowing he was somewhere around here. I hoped he knew that I went to the police, maybe that would scare him away and he would take me seriously.
It had been over three months that I had moved back to Columbia and Halloween was creeping around the corner. Halloween was actually one of my favorite holidays and I couldn't wait to get a costume. I dragged Bekah to the mall in search of the perfect outfit for the both of us.
A costume store had opened up in one of the vacant spots of the mall like it did every year this time of season and Bekah and I didn't hesitate to run inside, looking through the dozens upon dozens of costumes.
My fingers swiped the hangers back and forth, shrugging at each piece that I came in contact with. Nothing was really popping out to me and I just couldn't figure out what to do this year. Never have I really enjoyed dressing skimpy with barely any skin covered but I don't want to not look hot, that's for sure.
"Quinn! I found it!" Bekah squealed at me as she rushed into a dressing room. I sat down near the stall and scrolled through my phone while I waited for her to show me the costume.
She finally came out and I laughed at the referee that was standing in front of me. White stockings and shorts covered her legs and a black and white striped tight t-shirt covered her top, all garnished with a shiny silver whistle resting around her neck.
"Look! I play sports!" Bekah stood in a stance, swinging her arms as if swinging a baseball bat.
"You do realize that referee's don't play sports right?" I bit the inside of my cheek, stifling a laugh.
"Well they watch people play sports right?" She commented back in a 'duh' tone and all I could do was nod, confused as to where she was going with this.
"Well then I'm gonna print out some red cards and give them to hot guys so they have to spend five minutes in a penalty box with me!" Her hips popped to the side and she placed a hand on her side, the other blowing a kiss at me with a signature wink.
I couldn't contain my laughter at my bizarre best friend. "Alright ref, get that costume but you better do your plan because I'd pay to see that! You have such bad luck at talking to guys what makes you think you're gonna walk up to them and say that they have to spend time with you?"
Bekah scowled at me before rubbing her fingers together. "You better be prepared to pay up then! I'm 100% going to do that to at least one guy!" She walked back into the stall to change and I continued to glance at the costumes.
"So you do realize that you haven't found a costume yet and Halloween is Saturday which is in two days!" I shrugged my shoulders. I would fine a costume, sometimes it takes a while to find the perfect idea.
We continued walking through the shop before a costume caught my eye. All it said one the package was 'Superhero' but I instantly knew I could make something better out of it. The dark blue body piece with gold outlines looked perfect and luckily it came with a black utility belt.
