I decided to try to mix things up this time so this chapter will be entirely in Jaxon's POV so I hope you guys enjoy!

Jaxon POV

"Nonetheless, it is a pleasure to meet you again."

Thomas had a hold of Quinn's hand, one part of my mind wondering when they had met before, and the other part wanting to break Quinn from his gaze and pull her behind me. I've know Thomas pretty much my whole life and I knew when he took an interest in any female, which tended to be almost everyone he came in contact with.

Of course Thomas knew what he was doing as he glanced at me with a small smile, probably knowing that I was silently fuming from a distance.

"So, how do you two know each other?" I cleared my throat at them and couldn't help feeling a pang of jealousy as Quinn took a step back from Thomas and glanced at her shoes, even though I could see the small redness ting her cheeks.
I don't know what was going on with me but this girl instantly had me head over heels for her and I barely knew her. The way she tried to hide her face with her hair when she blushed was the most adorable thing and I wanted to cup my hands along her face and feel the warmth of my fingertips.

Thomas wrapped his arm across Quinn's shoulders and tugged her into his side, the grin on his face widening as he saw the scowl that spread across my face. "Oh we are the best of buds, we go way back, right Quinn?" He leaned down closer to her face, winking at her before she ducked under his arm and stepped away from him, a little closer towards me that definitely brought my grin out.

"We've only met once actually and I didn't even know his name." Quinn glanced up through her eyelashes at me and I couldn't help but stare. She had this rare natural beauty that was so uncommon it was like a breath of fresh air out of all the other women out their with cakes of makeup covering their natural self. Her hair had golden highlights when in the sun but in the dark they almost looked like caramel, and don't even get me started on her eyes, it was like jumping into the Caribbean waters.

Thomas interrupted us as he took a step closer and ran a hand through his ruffled hair. "We may have only met once but you didn't need to know my name at the time for the best time of your life." He winked again and this time I couldn't help but push him lightly with my hand, causing him to take a step back and grin up at me. Of course he knew what he was doing, he knew what made me tick and how to piss me off but I couldn't stay mad at him, no matter what we were always best friends and would always have each others backs.

"Come on Quinn, let's get away from this mongrel so he can chase his own tail."

Thomas laughed loudly as I grabbed Quinn's hand and took her further to the back, glancing at Thomas only to see him giving me a thumbs up. That guys was definitely a piece of work that's for sure.

Jacob was the goalie on our lacrosse team and his parents, whose house we were currently at, was one of the biggest houses I had seen in the area. Both his parents were loaded but were rarely home so coming to his house became a past time for most of the guys of the team, meaning I knew the ins and outs of the entire house including outside.

Guiding Quinn along a narrow path that was slightly hidden by some brush, we came across a large willow tree planted in the middle with a stone path wrapped around it and two benches across from one another. I wanted to pull Quinn to the bench so we could talk but her hand retracted from mine and turning around, I saw her gaze entranced by the tree. The tree was beautiful, large enough so the tendrils that fell from the branches covered a large area and Quinn's fingers traced along the hanging vines.

"Jaxon, this is absolutely beautiful!" Her voice was a slight higher pitch as she glanced around the area, staring up at the blanket in the sky covered in stars.
