First Day of Work

Sonia's POV

I woke up the next morning with Jiyong oppa's arms around me. I turned around so I was facing him,he was stil peacefully sleeping. A smile crept on my face as I watched him sleep,then his eyes slowly flutter open. "Good morning babe.."   he smiled   "Morning~"   I gave him a peck on his lips before sitting up while he was still half awake in bed   "C'mon.. Get up."   I said as I shook him lightly. He groaned as he sat up,I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. After I washed up I went to the kitchen where Jiyong was making coffee,he didn't notice me coming so silently went out the balcony. I looked at the buildings and houses,thinking about my life when I first met Jiyong. I chuckled at how pathetic I looked back then,I was so fragile,I shed too much tears just for one man. I don't even know myself anymore,the real me,the 'me' before I met him wasn't like this. A cry baby as you call it,ha! I was actually cold hearted,I never learned to love or accept being loved,I almost never cried,even though I was hurting so much I tried not showing it to people. I was always in a bad mood,rude sometimes,I never share personal things or problems with anyone,not even people who are close to me,not even my mom,let's just say I was completely the opposite of what I am today. I looked back at Jiyong who's still in the kitchen,somehow he was the only person that has managed to change me in less than a few months. He was the reason I cried so much but also the reason I finally knew how to love. I smiled at the thought of him,imagine what it would be like if I had never met him,I'd be same person as I was a long time ago. But to be honest,I actually miss the old me who cared less about people,LOL! As I was in my deep thoughts Jiyong suddenly came up behind me and pulled me in a tight hug   "Oh,oppa~"   I smiled   "What are you doing outside?"   he asked   "Nothing,just thinking."   I replied   "Of what?"   he rested his chin on my shoulder   "Oh nothing important~"   I simply replied as I turned around facing him   "If you say so. C'mon let's get something to eat."   He said as he held my hand and took me inside. 

Next Day~

I woke up the next morning a little earlier than Jiyong because it was my first day of work. I got in the shower and took a bath,then I put on some casual clothes and tied my hair up into a ponytail. As soon as I was done,Jiyong oppa woke up   "You're up early."   he groaned   "I have to go to work."   I said   "Oh,yeah. Well,let me send you."   He said as he got up and went to the bathroom. When he was dressed we headed to the parking lot together and got into the car. "What time does your shift end? I'll come pick you up."   Jiyong asked,his eyes were fixed on the road   "Oh,it's ok you don't have to pick me up. Besides I'm sure you're too busy to pick me up later."   I replied   "Are you sure? 'Cause I could pick you up if I finish early."   He said   "Nah,It's ok."   I gave him a faint smile. I gave him the directions to the cafe and shortly after he pulled up infront of it. "Thanks for the lift."   I smiled   "No problem,see you later."   He said before kissing me   "Ok,bye."   I waved before getting out,I shut the car door closed and waited until he drove off before entering the cafe. As I walked in,the cafe was empty probably because it was still early. I went to the back behind the counter to see if anyone was there. "Yeoboseyo?"   I called out   "Oh hey."   a voice greeted,a guy maybe about my age or older than me was sweeping the floor. "You must be the new kid."   He smiled   "Ah,ne."   I slightly bowed   "I'm Kang Jun."   He extended out his hand   "Sonia."    I smiled as I shook his hand. "You're a little early. The others aren't here yet."   He said as he continued to sweep the floor   "Oh,so what am I supposed to do on my first day?"   I asked   "We're short on workers so we don't have shifts. We open at 8:30 a.m to 10 p.m."   He replied   "Today,You'll be the waitress and you're in charge of the cleaning at the end of the day."   He continued   "Oh,arrasseo."   I said   "How many workers are there?"   I asked   "Five. Including you and me."   He replied;

*Whoah! That little. Heol~ There's gonna be a lot of work.* 

"And your job is?"   I asked   "Barsita and set up the cafe."   He replied   "You're shifts on setting up the cafe are on Fridays."   He said   "That means you have to be at the shop at 7 a.m."   He said as he finishes sweeping the floor. I looked at my watch and it was 8 a.m. "Since you came early,come and help me set up the chairs and tables outside."   He said,I kept my stuff in one of the small lockers and followed him. He did the tables and umbrellas while I arranged the chairs. A few minutes later,while we were arranging the tables,two females workers stopped by infront   "Annyeonghaseyo!"   They said in unison    "Annyeonghaseyo."    I bowed and smiled   "You must be new here. I'm Mi Nah and this is Eun Song."   She smiled as she introduced her friend to me   "I'm Sonia. Jalbutakdeuribnida (Please look after me.)"   I bowed,they smiled before they entered the cafe. After Kangjun and I finished setting the tables and chairs we went inside. Just before our first customer came in the fifth staff came   "Annyeonghaseyo!"   he greeted when he entered   "Hyung,you're late again."   Kangjun said when he saw him enter   "Mianhae. The bus took forever to come."   He said as he walked up behind the counter,I'm thinking he works as the barista too because he was gettin all the ingredients ready the minute he got behind the counter. I took an apron from under the counter and put in on   "Is she new here?"   He asked when he saw me crouch under the counter  "Ne. Her name is Sonia."   Eunsong eonnie replied and he gave me a smile. Then a customer came in and sat at a table   "Go take her order."   Minah whispered and I nodded   "Annyeonghaseyo. May I take you order?"   I smiled   "Iced Cafe Latte and a sandwich."   she smiled,I bowed before I left her and went behind the counter. I seemed to be taking the job pretty well,lunch time was the busiest but I managed to survive on the first day. We started closing up at 9:30 p.m. The other had left so it was just me and Chung Ho,the guy that almost came in late just now. I was sweeping the floor while was cleaned the tables and counter. We didn't talk much,probably becuase he looked busy and I was too shy to even say anything. When the both of us was finished we got out so he could lock the cafe. "I'll get going now."   I said   "Oh,arrasseo."   he turned around and said as he locked the door. I walked to the bus stop leaving him behind. I looked at my watch and it was almost 10:30 p.m. I took the bus to JiYong oppa's house. When got to the house,I entred and switched the lights on. JiYong oppa wasn't hie yet and it was getting late,I figured he must be busy so he'd come home late. Then I got a text from him;

'Jagiya,I'm a little busy so I'll be home late. Don't bother waiting for me.'

*Just as I thought.*

I didn't bother replying his text. I took a quick bath before heading to bed,I wasn't so I skipped dinner. I stared at the ceiling for awhile. Soon,I was fast asleep...
