maybe in distance but never in heart"― Helen Keller

"Get up,you lazy buffoon."
My brother dearest winced at the sound and tried to put a pillow so that he could block my voice.
Ha! As if he could.
I take the bucket and pour all the water.
He instantly gets up and falls out of his bed.
Clumsy.
Don't get me wrong,my brother was whole level of intellect and level headed thinker but when it comes to sister brother relationship, I ought to be the one troublemaker.
Funny was he was elder than me but I was more dominant in terms of everything.
In scaring him till making his life hell by misplacing his socks and ties.
But when it came to sorrows,I always ran to him.
I guess he knows me well.
So,right now he is chasing me.
Being a good basketball player and runner,he catches me and pushes me down and calls,"Mom!Mom!Look what Susan has done."
My mother rushes before rolling her eyes and went back.
I smirked.
His face falls but when my mother brings a permanent marker,he smirks.
Mother throws the marker and he catches easily.
Typical.
I pretend to say my prayers but my brother has an evil grin.
I close my eyes and wait for a terrible face but instead he chuckles and leaves me.
I look confused when he gets up and hugs me tightly.
He whispers,"I am glad that your old self is back."
A look of understanding dawns on me.
Since,I had lost the baby,I had become isolated.
I didn't speak much and just for sake of my family,I smiled and tried to behave normal.
Tried.
But my brother could easily detect my fake smiles.
A few tears trickled before I said,"I am sorry,Bahai."
He sniffed before he let out a laugh and said,"It's Bhai."
I tried to spell out,"B-A-I?"
He shook his head and spoke,"No.Nevermind.Bro is fine."
I rolled my eyes and remembered to ask Sara how is it spell.
He smiled at me and said,"Just remain like this Susan."
He takes his phone and attempts to take my photograph before he slips due to the water.
Instead of helping him,I shout,"Mom,Bro fell down."
He glared at me and got up.
Thankfully nothing was damaged.
In case you are wondering,I am talking about mobile.
Brother dear mutters incoherent before he says,"There must be some reason that you dared to wake me up this morning at 4 am."
Oh did I mention that the birds had yet to chirp?
I hope not.
I shrug at his question before I speak,"Well,it was about Sara."
My brother who was going to gulp down water, instead choked and coughed before recovering.
He turned to me and asked,"You both are on talking terms?"
I push back my hair into a messy bun as I speak,"Well,Not talking but yeah,we are on writing terms."
He rolls his eyes and I speak,"So,you haven't yet told your name?"
He shook his head and speaks,"No.But I will do that soon."
I watch him as his eyes seem to be in some sort of flashback.
I wonder if he is thinking of his childhood or Sara?Maybe both.
His hands strum to the guitar and he plays some tune.
I silently listen to it as he hums some Hindi words.
His voice is melodic to send your soul into whirlwind.
The familiar tunes come and I watch him sing as I think about the song's whereabouts.
He stops and keeps the guitar at its place.
He looks back at me and he asks,"What were you going to talk about Sara?"
I let myself think before I say,"I think Sara is not sure that she is divorced with that douchebag."
My fingers clench with anger as I recall the bastard. The cause of our miseries.
I watch his knuckles turn white before he breathes deeply and said,"What do you mean?"
I show him the letter.
His eyes remained raised before he takes his phone and dials some numbers.
He instantly speaks,"I need you to give me all information about Tushar Sahni."
After some talk,he cuts the call and says,"We will get to know that soon."
I nod before asking,"Who are your sources?"
He shrugs before answering,"Some sort of agents."
I nod as he speaks,"I also need to read files about this Akash Singh."
My head tilts at the mention and I speak,"Is it the same that Sara used to.."
He nods and I remain silence.
My mind raises a question and so I speak,"Bro,do you like Sara or what?"
His eyes widen at my question and he remains sceptical to answer.
His mouth opens and closes like an idiot.
After what seems an hour,He speaks,"I just know that she is one of the important people in my life. She has a special place in my heart."
I smile at his words as he spoke with passion and such a delicate emotion flickered through his eyes.
I pat his shoulders before going back to sleep.
Leaving him awake.
