Sara looked around.
She didn't know if she had to make a coffee or order it.All she knew was she had to somehow grab a cup of coffee.
Her face was etched with confusion as she walked around skeptically.
She frowned as she thought,"Don't usually boss show their new employees their office or give some sort of information?"
As her heels clinked with the floor, she glanced at her watch. Two minutes had passed and she still didn't know what did she have to do.She simply wanted to run back to Mr Malhotra and tell him that she isn't ready for this kind of stuff.
Afterall,she had signed up for a deal.Not for a 9 to 5 office job.
But her mind reminded her of his taunting noise when she stood in his office looking shocked when he had asked her for coffee.
"Ah!Miss Oberoi!Still standing here?Too afraid to even make a coffee? Now I know why you never were able to combat with Mr Singh."His smirk widening.
Sara was furious. How dare he bring relationships into office matters!
So,she instantly crumbled her afraid stance and with her head held high, she spoke,"Mr Malhotra.I assume you never have heard the saying,'Don't judge a book by cover',right? If you have, then you better don't start judging me.And if you haven't then,well....Just increase your vocabulary!"
His smirk immediately disappeared.
Sara just gave a sly smile before saying,"Now,if you would excuse?"
Mr Malhotra glared at her while she went out of his cabin happily.

Sara started chanting,"Dear lord! You are ever graceful! You are so kind!Won't you help your child in trouble?"
She knew it was childish, but in most of her childhood cases,it worked.
Except in her dad's case.
As much as she wanted to curse and go away from faith of God,she instead to chose to remain faithful to God and instead prayed everyday.

She kept chanting these wisdom words until her gaze stopped at the coffee maker machine kept right beside her.
Her joys held no boundaries! She literally wanted to jump up and down with happiness!
She thanked god for answering her prayers and prepared Mr Malhotra's black coffee.
The cups weren't really bright she noticed. The way everything was arranged in beverage area seemed to bring negativity and no optimism. The cups colour were dull coloured and it didn't really make her feel good. She shook her head as she remembered that for now,she was an employee, not some business partner.
She wondered why this estate's look convinced her Of pessimism.
She grabbed the cup and walked swiftly back to Mr Malhotra's office.
Straightening her back, she knocked on the door and entered his office.
Sara couldn't help but notice how dark circles were forming under his eyes. She suddenly remembered her own brother who was having sleepless nights for regaining company's lost position. She felt a part of her sympathising with him.
Releasing her breath, she spoke to Malhotra,"Sir,here is your coffee."
Malhotra seemed to be lost in some files so he just nodded and spoke,"Hmm.You might want to go to your desk outside and continue with work kept there. You are dismissed,Ms Oberoi."
Suddenly all sympathy she might have been feeling for him vanished in thin air.
She stiffly nodded and walked out of his office aggravating and making her heels clink loud as she thought,"Couldn't he just even say a thank you?Not even a simple thank you!If he wouldn't be my business partner,I would have already insulted him."
As she looked at her work area, she couldn't help but scoff.
A large stack of papers were already waiting for her along with some big fat files.
Isn't it my first day?
She internally screamed at Malhotra but her external demeanour just was being maintained with much difficulty.
She sat at the chair and looked at the work that she had to do.She took a deep breath and spoke to herself,"I can do this!Sara, this is such a small work!Accounting is easy!Typing is easy!and errr....everything is easy."
She started doing work from scratch. She silently thanked the inventor of calculator as she calculated the whole account that was listed over the file.
Thankfully she was good at Maths and in no time she had finished it.She glanced at her watch, proudly smiling that she had completed her first batch and looking at the watch, her smile fell.
It was 4pm.
She had missed her recess!
She gulped as she felt her stomach churn due to lack of food.As much as she liked being falling into some hero's arm just like in movies, she was in no mood.
She stood up,again walked up to Malhotra's office and knocked it.
Mr Malhotra raised his brow as he questioned her with his intense gaze,"Yes?"
Sara answered with a firm tone,"Sir,I have finished the first batch of work that you had assigned to me.."
Mr Malhotra seemed impressed and answered,"That's good,Ms Oberoi."
Sara ,now was nervous as his intense gaze scrutinised her and she spoke in soft voice,"Sir,can I take ten minutes break?"
Mr Malhotra shook his head and answered,"I am afraid that my answer will be no." And he went back to typing something in his laptop.
Sara stood shocked and outraged before speaking,"But sir,I have completed my work.Atleast 10 minutes break wouldn't make difference."
Mr Malhotra without looking up answered,"Rule no 2.Time is Money."
Sara looked confused and said,"What?"
Mr Malhotra shook his head.Sara wondered that if he liked shaking his head as she had witnessed him many times shaking his head at her.
Mr Malhotra snapped his fingers in front of her and said,"Rule no 3.No Zoning out."
Sara again looked confused,"Ehh...what?"
Mr Malhotra told,"Get out."
Sara again spoke with a confused look,"Err....what?"
It seemed 'What' was going to become Sara's favourite word.
He glared at her and she simply replied,"Okay!"
She could swear that his looks were equally intimidating along with his glares. She was certain that Mr Malhotra had already did these things in first day:
