Chapter 22: Hopeless but Success

Astrid's POV

"Hiccup!" I shouted in fear as Hiccup dived on to the stream.

Toothless giggles in fear for losing Hiccup. He kept roaring for a minute in fear and then stopped. I lookd on the water where Hiccup dived in, me and Toothless saw him fighting an Eel. Such was a case, Toothless attacks and eats the eel by accident for Hiccup's protection but then suddenly.

"What's wrong with him?" Hiccup asks Toothless whose shaking his face as his eyes turned red.

"Hiccup! Is there something wrong?" I asked him curiously.

"Astrid.. I.. I don't know. I have no idea." He replied sadly.

Toothless then fired out a powerful red bursting Plasma Blast , don't know if its still plasma. Looks like a fireball. It made ouyt an explosion and as of Toothless runs away.

"Toothless!" Hiccup shouted raised arms like saying 'wait for me'.

I stopped Hiccup for a second and hand over his clothes. "Here, try putting this on" I said blushing.

"Oh yeah, sorry about that." He said as he grabbed his clothes.

"What do we do?" I asked.

"Let's find him. Based on the Book of Dragons, reptiles like dragons are afraid of eels except for Typhoomerangs which mostly prefers them as primary food for their blazing cyclone attack." He said rushed.

"Yup. Correct." The only thing I said.

Then he jumped at the back of Stormfly and then helped me climb up. He is controlling Stormfly for now. We went down for the few past trails we saw. He grabbed a net with heavy metal balls on each side, and a long rope with about 10 meters. He then attached the first and second ends of the rope at 2 two trees. Then attached another rope at the middle of the other rope then tied the other rope to the net hanged bove the tree branch serving as a trap for Toothless.

"Hey Astrid?" Hccup asked.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"Have you seen any sign of the Twins? or Snotlout or Fishlegs?"

"Not a whip of the wind" I answered.

Half hour have passed, we continued to search Eel Mountains. We knew that Toothless couldn't get away because of his tail but danger still awaits at anytime. We landed for a second for few rest and as we hear rumbling on the bushes, we sneaked up. When we looked at it, we saw Meatlug.

"Meatlug!" I said shockingly. I got no point how'd she get there.

"Oh Astrid! Hiccup! What surprise." Fishlegs said.

"Yeah, coincidence. We we're just talking about you guys." Hiccup explains.

"I see." He replied.

"Fishlegs. Have you saw Toothless around?" Hiccup asked as he's worried.

"No clue, but I saw Night fury footprint like 50 meters ahead." He said.

Hiccup's POV

"Oh Toothless, where are you bud?' I said as we entered the Dark Cavern. Stormfly opened her mouth for fire light. I didn't saw our way and another Stalactite hit me on my head

*boogsh*

Another second, it went black. I woke up and I was lying on the ground and saw Toothless looking at me. I didn't knew that I slept for almost an hour. I was like cured when I got bumped again in the stalactite. For now, I got a cast at my head like a bandage wrapping it. 

"Hey bud!" I said in excitement as I saw Toothless healed by Fishlegs.

Turns out, we are all going home back to Berk completing our mission to heal me myself and accidentally Toothless before sunset.
