I woke up due to two things. One, the sun was streaming in through the window. Two, David--my boyfriend--was kissing my neck. [AN: David Brown, dirty blonde hair, green eyes, six foot, has no parents--both abandonded him--19, born June 7th, 1993]
I giggled and opened my eyes and looked at David. He smiled at me and I hugged him. I wanted to stay home--here--with him today. I could go back to Kourtney later tonight. She didn't need me. She had a credit card, driver's lisence. Kourtney didn't need me. Hell, she was probably finally losing it to a guy or something. Knowing her. I love my sister, I do. I just don't understand why Mom died giving birth to her. She's too skinny to hurt anyone.
"Why are you quiet?" David asked, hovering over me.
I laughed and pushed him off, so I could sit up. I ran my fingers through my hair and looked at him. "I was just thinking. Hey, what time is it? I can't be late to school."
"It's five in the morning. Babe, let's not deal with school today," he rubbed my shoulder.
"Yeah, you can say that because you graduate this year. I still have a whole year before we can be together permenately," I said. "Plus, my video class is getting into groups and filming each other's lives. And since I wasn't with Kourtney last night, I need to go look at the video they made. I need to see what she said."
"Okay, fine," David smirked and kissed me again. I glanced at the alarm clock--5:15. I closed my eyes and wrapped my legs around him. School didn't start till 7:30. Damn daylight savings time. If the sun didn't come up so early, I'd be asleep. But this worked, too.
"Do you want to?" David asked running his hand up my shirt. "We have time."
"David," I looked at him. "I already told you I wanted to wait until I was married."
"Marriage is the condition, I get it. But you already practically live here," he shrugged.
I searched his eyes. "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying... Marry me and move in with me," he said.
I couldn't believe he had just said that. I'd been with him for two years, and never had I pegged him as the marrying kind. I nodded--too speechless for words--and threw myself onto him. He laughed, and I could feel his chest echoing his laugh. David and I were made to be together. He loved me, and I loved him.
David went to his dresser and came back with a ring. He slipped it on me and I just went into hysteria. I didn't need a ring. He'd asked. Which was something I would have never expected him to do. He had shown that he truly loved me. I couldn't bring myself to pay attention to my surroundings. As the room grew brighter, I knew I had to get ready. I finally pulled myself away from him and I got dressed in his bathroom.
"What do you want to do tonight?" David asked.
I looked at him through the mirror. "I think it's my turn to be filmed tonight. You're welcome to join us, if you want."
"Nah, I'll pass. And you should, too," he said.
I laughed and faced him. "I can't just...abandon my group. Okay, yes, Raine could get filmed, but... It's my turn."
"Then you're gonna have to tell the group to either film 'Raine' or follow you around town tonight," he smirked.
I smiled and looked over him curiously. "What are you thinking?"
"You'll see," he winked and got dressed.
David drove me to school and I went to video class. I sat with the group and they played the video. I made sure to hide my engagement ring. As soon as they played the video, I saw an unfamiliar guy. Before I could ask who it was, Kourtney said in the video, "Raine, Angel, this is Jack. He's new, so I thought I'd invite him over. Is that okay?"
