Tyler looked at me with a smirk on his face as the professor talked in front of the class. He slipped me a note across my table and onto my folder. This was the best part of my days. His words on paper that he didn't even know made me fall...
Tyler and I have been texting a lot since last night. The only time we stopped was to sleep but continued first thing this morning. Last night he was telling me about how he found this church he really liked going to and how he plays guitar for their worship team. I also found out he sings which is something I really hope to hear that in person soon. Then I told him about our band and how we write songs that we release on albums. He was super shocked at first and then asked if he could hear a song. I sent him a demo of some songs I wrote and he talked about how much he loved them. All night he told me "you just keep surprising me." Something that actually made me smile.
Most guys typically act super weird when I tell them about what me and my sisters do. It's not a common or normal thing so I'm used to getting an "oh that's weird but cool I guess response." Or they become only interested in the fact that they think I have some type of fame and attention that they like. But he was interested in far more than just that. It was obvious in the way he talked to me about everything else. The band was only a topic for a small portion of time but he made it all about me and my interests rather than a way to get attention.
My thoughts stopped when I felt my phone vibrate and I saw Ty's name pop up. We were in a band meeting right now talking about uploading and what video we wanted to shoot next. So I tried to be subtle around my sisters, besides Dani who I already told about him. I always tell them about boys anyways, but I hadn't mentioned him yet.
Tyler- Your love for potatoes inspired me
Lauren- And how is that😂

Tyler- I made potato wedges in your honor. They're horrible and I suck at cooking but I did try😂
Lauren- Wow in MY honor, what a privilege😂 I'm sure you're a great cook 😂😂
Tyler- I promise you I'm horrible😂 I mean I make a great sandwich and that's about it, my sandwiches are A1 incredible
Tyler- I can prove to you I'm a horrible cook that just means you have to willing to try horrible food😂
I went back to his picture before responding and looked at it with a wide smile on my face because of how dorky he actually is. Lisa looked over my shoulder and saw me looking at the picture of him and laughed loudly.
Lisa- "Who are you stalking?! Hahaha who is this this?!"
I instantly got embarrassed and my cheeks turned slightly red.
Lauren- "No one it's just some boy from my class hahaha stop pressing me lady." I said while laughing and trying to play it off.
Lisa- "Some boy from your class that you're texting and who is sending you selfies." She said while laughing at my expense.
Lauren- "He's a nice guy I hung out with him yesterday." I said being upfront because even though my sisters could be crazy, I always tell them these things.
Christina- "Wait what?! Who did you hang out with yesterday?" She said surprised that I hung out with someone and didn't tell them till after.
Lauren- "His name is Tyler hahaha he's nice." I said while smiling to myself and my tone changing slightly. I said it in a way that was shy but much happier than I had been in months. Kath spoke up quickly after.
Kath- "Wait, I want to see a picture of him!"
Christina- "Me too!"
Lisa- "Me three, pass the picture around!"
I rolled my eyes while laughing slightly and showed my sisters the 2 pictures I had of him.
Amy- "He's cute and you said he's nice I approve! Are you going to try to hang out with this boy more?"
Lauren- "Approve?!" I said while laughing loudly. "I've known him for a few days that's it!"
Christina- "We need updates on this boy! Code names what should his be?!"
Lisa- "TP! Tyler with the potato!"
Dani- "TP! I approve! It's TP for sure."
Christina- "TP it is we want updates!" My sisters continued talking about him while I replied to his text with a smile on my face.
Lauren- Well all of my sisters are talking about you now😂
Tyler- Oh is that sooo and why is that? Do most guy friends in your life usually have to go through the family questioning phase?😂 cause I'm good at that! I'm prepared, usually families like me
Lauren- Wow already prepared to impress my family?
I typed and sent with a wide smile.
Tyler- Of course I'd like to actually be someone you consider a good friend at some point in the future and not just that one guy you met a couple times in history
Lauren- Well you should come over to this dinner party next friday(: then we will see how you impress
