We're Back! - Folician Chronicles 9

Prologue

~~~ Earth and the Folician's

Earth knew aliens existed by now. They'd seen the Folicians and two of their deities. It'd thrown the world into chaos. Most of the first and second world countries had accepted it. The third world countries were feeling left out or ignored by the other countries. Even with the fusion power plants many countries were still considered poor. This was especially true in Africa, parts of South America, and parts of Asia. A good portion of the middle east still were calling Aliens were hell spawn. There were some fusion reactors but many of those in power refused to allow many. They would import the power but that was it.

Few realized just how much of the existing tech had been influenced by the Folician's. Agriculture had received a boost as had many aspects of medical science. It included far better birth control, preventative maintenance, and cancer prevention. With global warming, many changes have been made in many countries.

In most countries it was implementing forestry where new trees were planted and growing faster than normal at first. Parts of the Amazon basin has been replanted, massive forests in other countries were growing again and the carbon footprint decreased. Many of the petroleum electrical generation plants had been closed. It had cause problems with big business as the petroleum companies stock had dropped. Between the fusion plants and better electric vehicles, they were down to providing petroleum products for plastic.

It had taken this long for many of the countries to accept the Folician's had been there to help and not take over. Many countries were still leery about what they really wanted but they did want the help. In some cases, almost desperately needed help. Even with the improved birth control, the planet was bursting at the seams with people. The population increase had slowed but they were looking at close to 10 billion people. Even with the strain, some religions had refused to accept or allow the use of them. In many cases the believers had chosen to use them which was causing problems with some of the religions.

The U.N. finally decided they wanted and needed the help. After several years of wrangling they finally settled on a message. They sent it to the satellite position they'd been told to. There was a new U.N. president and she was sending the message. She looked at the video pickup, "Good afternoon to those currently in charge of the Folician Worlds. I'm the U.N. council President Isa Jansen. We are asking you to come back and open negotiations with our world again. This is from the United Nations though not all countries agree. We do have a 75% vote requesting you coming back. There simply isn't anyway the world will do 100% vote. Some countries simply can't or won't agree. I'm sending you a data package of the countries who wish you to come back and those who either didn't vote or voted against the idea. Please take this as a positive step."

She took a deep breath, "The fusion plants you graced us with have been incredible and is helping with global warming and to ensure most people of the world have access to power some wouldn't have otherwise. Please look at this and accept what we can do to ask you to come back." She had to wink, "No landing on any government property other than the U.N." She attached the files and sent it.

~~~ Kevin and the message

Kevin received the message and was rather pleased. The joke at the end made him snort, "Oh man, that's bad. At least they didn't mentioned probing. Now that would have been totally wrong." He had to shake his head and sigh.

Smiles was sitting in his lap and relaxing. Thankfully it had been a while since their last pup and she could focus on him totally, "But they are trying. It's going to be interesting in seeing how our world reacts. I think this is a good thing. I know the wolves and some of the other supernatural have been working on an agreement on the worlds we suggested. I have a feeling they are close to a decision. I know Wild Valley and several other packs or prides are very interested. They've been arguing about moving some for years. This might encourage them. I know the world is still leery of them. It would allow them to be who they are. They will have to learn the new worlds, but they are good places." She licked his neck after she spoke.
