Chapter 12 - Um, yah?

~~~ Joy talks to Hands and Kali

The trip to the ship that night was somewhat hard for Joy since she needed to talk to several people. With Myrna asking to be her Liraque, Hands being the father of her child, and Kali it was going to be interesting. Added to that was she knew Myriam had talked to Char but wasn't sure about what. She hadn't seen her for a while and from what she understood she went back with Kara and her family.

From what she'd understood even Isa had talked to Hands about something. What it was about she wasn't sure but hoped it wasn't any indication she'd spent time with him like Joy had. It could be a medical condition and she hope it wasn't anything critical as Kara had. It made her want to cry but she hadn't. She liked Isa and she was a good president of the council.

When they arrived she found her, Kali, Isa, some woman, and Charlotte there. She glanced at Hands and he smiled slightly, "Welcome aboard the ship to everyone. Strength will you show Isa to medical?" Hands had to smile since Strength had the same name as Dark Storm's mate. She'd been on the ship Ray had been saved on.

Myrna came over and gave Joy a light nuzzle. It was up to her to accept or decline the offer to be her Liraque, "Evening Joy. Will talk to you later." Just for good measure she gave her neck a lick

Joy twitched, "No public licking darn you. Keep it... Oh, darn you. That was horrible, and I'll grumble at you later."

Kali almost laughed at the two, but she just didn't have the urge, "That was bad but thankfully not being recorded right? You might not live it down if it was." She really wanted to press a palm to her face.

Hands snickered and laughed at them, "Not as bad as the whole chicken thing. Now that was horrible." He grinned at Savory when she swatted him. He had to snigger as the others gagged at him. Even Gentle thumped him.

Silent gave Isa a good hug and collected an elbow and led her out of the room, "Unlike the jokes the scan is painless and I'm sure you'll be fine. If you need we'll take care of you and give you some good comfort. Spike will take good care of you." She walked out of the transport room with her.

Joy and Kali watched her leave and looked at Hands. He smiled, "She has a similar issue to you Joy. Now food and then we can talk. I know Myrna talked to you, but I have a feeling Sky might talk to you, Kali as well depending on your choices."

Joy looked startled even as Kali glanced at her, "And what might this issue be? Do I want to know, or should I simply assume it's not something I want to know about?" She was smiling slightly.

Joy sighed, "I'm pregnant with Hands' pup. We spent an evening together and I'm now carrying his pup. It was a lovely evening and I'd suggest you consider it but..." She leaned against Savory and started to relax.

He couldn't help but let out a light pleased howl, "So happy for her but damn it's hard not to howl for my daughter. Want to scream and... I don't know, trying not to scream my lungs out." He did his best not to do anything else since he'd probably break his hand even with the armor, "Sorry, once I'm back on the ship my mate and pack members let my emotions show. I have to deal with them, but I can't during the day."

Kali came over and held him, "Congrats to you and Joy though I'm not happy with possibly losing her. She's been my assistant for years and I'm going to miss her. Somehow can't see her sitting in the middle of a meeting nursing your baby." She had to smile when she said it.

Joy flushed before thapping Hands, "That's for making me pregnant and forcing my boss to tease me. I hate you now."

He leaned forward and let the little growl out which seemed to make most woman melt, "Remember, I know your weakness. This little growl is going to get you every time." He nuzzled her hair before giving her a good kiss, "Still so pleased. Can't wait. Our pup and how I look forward to seeing them delivered."
