Chapter 2 - We're sorry Hands

When they appeared on the ship he took her straight to medical, "I know we can't do anything about your disease, but I want you checked out. Once you are there I'm going to go and talk to your family." Steve knew about the Folician's but had chosen not to come to Folicia or work for the enclaves.

"I'm so scared daddy. I'm scared for my family and children. I have two children and I'm pregnant again. I don't want to die until I deliver." She wrapped her arms around him and held on. Savory came over and wrapped her arms around the woman as well.

"Not matter what I'm sure the Goddess won't call you to her fold now. Maybe when you deliver but she isn't insensitive to such things." She felt the warmth starting to show in the room.

The Goddess stepped out of a wall, "Hello Kara. I'm the Goddess of Fertility. I'll ensure your child and family are taken care of." She held her for a time before she faded away.

The Goddess found herself in the Pack Lord's realm. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his lap as he sat down. He knew each death of their children hurt but some hurt more than others, "Love you so much lady. I know, I've had to let many die myself. Now relax and let me comfort you." He settled her closer to him and held on.

Spot came over and settled on her lap and whined quietly as he sensed her feelings. Since Herbert wasn't there he'd attached himself to the person. She was warm and comfortable and knew all the places he tended to get itches and wanted petting.

Kara held on to her father and cried, "I know everyone dies in their allotted time, but I hate the idea of my husband and family losing me." It was all she could do not to collapse on the floor as she cried. If it wasn't for her father and Savory she would have, *Spike I need you. Kara is close to breaking and I need you as well.* He was holding on for dear life, "Spike is going to be here soon. She'll take care of you."

Spike wanted to scream since she knew what was wrong with Kara and it was one of the things they couldn't treat. In some ways it was like Silky, somethings they just couldn't heal, *Coming Hands and be there soon.* She called for Aqua and headed to where they were. She gave the young woman a good hug, "Come, I'll take care of you. Hands I'll take care of your pup." She and Aqua walked off with her. There was one on each side of Kara with their arms around her.

Once they left he leaned against the wall and did his best to control his anger. He loved Kara as he loved his other pups. He was forced to take several deep breathes. Savory wrapped her arms around him and held on, "We need to go and talk to her family. Come my love and we'll go and talk to them. I'll comfort you and them. It's one of the reasons several of the pack came with. They knew it was going to be needed."

Even as Savory was comforting him, Rex was quietly warbling in his ear and rubbing his head against Hands' head.

He forced his grief back and walked to the transport room, "I need to go to this address. Just send us and don't ask. There are going to be some coming back with me." Hands wasn't trying to be an asshole, but he couldn't help it.

*He's dreadfully worried about his daughter. She's very ill and he's struggling to deal with it.* Savory sent to her.

"Yes Pack Father." *I understand Pack Mother.* She sent them down to the address,

When they appeared, he moved over to her husband, "Kara is on the ship. She wants me to bring you and your family to Folicia. She also let me know she's pregnant. The Goddess informed me, she wouldn't take her to her fold until she delivers." He was doing his best not to cry. He loved her and her mother.
