Chapter 5: Markings from Hell

I woke up to a low growl and faint yelling. My eyes slowly opened and Lucas, in wolf form, growled at the door taking a defensive stance. I sat up and yawned my sweatshirt was still covered in blood. Lucas shot his beady eyes at me signaling me to lay back down. I sighed and did as he said. I laid my head down and covered my self with the blanket.

"Dominic, how can you be so concerned about her when you wont even let me see what's wrong with her?"

"I dont trust you and you know that. I mean you lied to me about my real mom and the fact you had 12 other kids that arent my mom's."

"Son I told you I was sorry about that."

"Yea whatever, I dont care. Go ahead but if you touch her Im going to skin you alive." Dominic pushed open the door and sent me an apologetic look. Zeus walked in and inmediatly was tackled to the floor by a growling Lucas.

"Lucas get off!" Dominic ordered, Lucas didn't budge.

"Get off Lucas!" he tried again, still he didn't move.

"Lucas." his head snapped toward me and I knew I had tears in my eyes. He weighed and got off of Zeus. As Lucas strode to the closet Dominic helped his dad up.

"Hello to you too Lucas." Zeus muttered. Lucas walked out of the closet and, in human form, sat next to me on the bed.

"Dont, because if it Wasnt for her you would still be on the floor."

"How are you doing Emma?" completely ignoring Lucas.

"Why are you here?"

"Im here to figure out what's wrong with you." I sat up.

"Something's wrong with me?" a tear flowed down my face. Lucas shot death glares at Dominic.

"Nothing is wrong, we just want to make sure you're ok." Dominic said from the doorway.

"Now if you dont mind, Im just going to put my finger on your neck to find your pulse." Zeus put his hand on my neck and he nodded.

"May I?" he asked he grabbed my wrist and I flinched. He took my wrist and placed his fingers on my veins. Suddenly an urge of anger washed over me. I yanked my hand back and just stared at him. He noted my change and he walked towards Dominic. I gasped when Zeus slapped him across the face. My blood boiled.

"DONT YOU DARE TOUCH HIM!" I roared, in sounded demonic and ungodly.

"Or what?" I snapped my head towards him and he went flying into the wall then he was slammed onto the mirror shattering it to pieces. He groaned as he picked up a piece of glass and shielded his face. I froze, standing in the single shard was a girl with one Blue eye and one all black. And her skin was marked with weird writings and symbols.

"What happened to me?" I looked at my hands and tried to decipher the symbols.

"I'm afraid you are an unique." Zeus sighed

"What does that mean?" i stepped towards him

"They will tell you, i have to go." Zeus got up and walked away.

"He left out a very important detail." James was now standing in the door frame.

"What?" Dominic's worried eyes narrowed in on James

"A Unique is when you take after both your mom and dad. Plus she is the heir to the throne which means she has to full fill her prophecy. She has to kill Zeus." I walked backwards and fell on the bed.

"I don't want to be a killer!" I screamed.

"You won't kill him, we'll make sure of that. If we stopped James then we can stop you." Lucas said wrapping his arms around my waist. I buried my head in the crook of his neck and let my worries melt away.
