After a two hour drive, we pulled up to a very modern house with the view of the ocean. Sabrina shyly looked back and motioned for us to follow. We slowly climbed out the car, Dominic held out his hand to pull me out the car with ease. The house had a welcoming feeling when we got to the door, but of course I always speak too soon. A tall, muscular, built man opened the door with a charming smile.
“Hey dad, I missed you.” Sabrina ran up to the man and hugged Him tightly as he wrapped his arms around her tiny figure.
“Hi my little bubble, and you guys must be the recruit.”
“Yes sir, I'm james. This is my sister Emma, Dominic, and Lucas.” James said shaking hands.
“Well it's glad to meet you all, please come inside.” he held open the door as we walked in. The chandler hung over the hallway casting a golden hue on the windows.
“Come on, the dining room and living room are just down this hallway.” Sabrina said grabbing my hand and walking me towards the opening. A woman stood in the kitchen humming a familiar tune while a teenage girl and boy sit on the couch.
“Hun Sabrina is home.” the woman turned around with a smile spread across her face. Her and Sabrina shared similar features; same eyes, same hair, same nose.
“Please come on in i was just finishing up dinner.” we sat the table. Her parents sat at the ends, I sat next to her mother, Sabrina and James sat next to me, on the left of James was Dominic, Lucas and the teenage girl sat next to each other and across from Dominic was the teenage boy.
“Let's go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Poseidon, god of the seas.” he motion towards his son.
“I'm Jacob, the Cyclops and i know I look 17 but I'm actually 20.” he said calmly
“I'm Seraphina, the siren and I'm 17.”
“I'm Lucas, the werewolf.” Jacobs’s jaw clenched but his smile remained.
“I'm Aphrodite, goddess of the sea.”
“I'm Emma, daughter of Venus and Hades.”
“ I'm James, son of Venus and Hades.”
“I'm Dominic, son of Circe and Zeus.” Jacob sat quiet and stared at James, Lucas, and me. I hung my head low avoiding all eye contact.
“So you and Emma are siblings?” Seraphina asked. James nodded.
“If it's ok with you I would like to see your powers.” Poseidon asked. James set his palm on fire and held out his hand. Everyone looked at me expecting a reaction.
“Your mother is Venus right?” Aphrodite asked.
“Yes ma’am.” she picked up a knife and slit her wrist, I gasped in shock.
“Concentrate on the wound and what you want to do.” I did as she said and when I opened my eyes her wrist was healed.
“How?” I said
“Your mother and I used to be friends and she showed me her powers. You can heal people.” I hung my mouth open in shock. She smiles and pats my hand that was rested neatly on the table.
“I told you would find out your powers soon.” Sabrina said excitedly
“Her power is to cause destruction just like her father and brother.” Jacob seethed his smile turning into a snarl.
“Jacob please, these are Sabrina’s guest.”
“Why don't you show your demon forms? I mean your going to kill us all one day.” he said slamming his hands on the table.
