The faint smell of smoke filled my nostrils stirring me awake from my dreamless sleep.
"Can you please go wake up the rest of the group. Breakfast is ready." Sabrina soft voice echoed through the kitchen.
"Hades make yourself at home and dont worry Im sure Emma will wake up soon."
"Thank you for breakfast miss Seabrooke. I just want to see her since its been months."
"Your welcome." she started coughing out of nowhere.
"Are you ok?" Hades asked in genuine concern.
"Yes sir. Its just I haven't been in the water for a long time and Im drying up but we all plan on going to the lake later today." he nods and continues to stare into space. A group of heavy footsteps walk down the oak staires. The rest of the gang all in their pajamas groaned as they walked to the kitchen.
"Shhh! Or you'll wake up Emma." Sabrina scolded. They all grew sad faces.
I guess its time for your grand entrance.
I sat up and yawned. My friends looked up surprised but came over to check on me. Dominic grabbed my hand and hoisted me up to my feet.
"Are you feeling better?" I nodded my head. They cleared a path and there stood my father in a business suit with tears threatening to fall.
"Daddy?"
"Yes pumpkin." I ran into his arms as he squeezed my frame.
"I missed you dad."
"I know but something's come up sweetheart. The Gods and are going to Olympus for a while so that we are safe from the government." I pulled away but still stay close to him.
"What? Youre leaving?"
"Not for long just for a while so we can figure out who is exactly behind this. I have to go soon and I came to say goodbye." I nodded and embraced him in a tighter hug.
"Be safe ok. Take care of your friends." he folded something in my hand and left the house. James came to my side and hugged me.
"Dad will be ok." I unfolded my fingers from around the object. Its a black chain with the devils pentagram dangling from it. I put it on and vowed to myself I would kill John.
"Did mom go too?" he nodded and embraced me in another hug. Both of our parents were gone for God knows how long. We were alone. Even our friends parents are gone.
"Its beautiful." Hope went to touch the necklace but i flinched away. I haven't forgotten what Lucas did.
"I...Im sorry." I searched the group in search of those curious green eyes but he was nowhere to be found.
"We arent going to hurt you Emma." Sam said holding Hope's hand and bring it closer to him. I nodded, ran up the stairs and into my room. The two other beds were propped up against the opposite wall of mine. I grabbed some clothes and went to take a warm shower.
" I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose, fire away, fire away, Ricochet, you take your aim, fire away, fire away, shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium, shoot me down, but I won't fall I am titanium." I sang while I washed my hair. A knock at the door startled me into a scream.
"Dont worry its just Deacon. Everyone went to the lake. I decided to stay and walk you out there whenever you got out."
"Ok. Ill be out in a few minutes." the doorclosed wants again and my heart hammered. I quickly turned off the shower and threw on my clothes. I let my hair be natural curly. I opened the door and Deacon sat on my bed looking through a book i had been reading.
"Im ready. Just let me grab a few things for lunch." he jumped at the sound of my voice.
"Ill help." he walked with me down the stairs and into the kitchen. We made a few sandwiches and grabbed a bottle of water for everyone.
"All done." I carefully put the food in a bag and smiled.
"You should smile more often." he said cleaning up the mess we made.
"I would if it Wasnt for the fact that your brother forced me into kissing him. He is way to strong for me and only Lord knows what he would've done." I began sobbing and covered my face.
"Im sorry Em I didn't mean to upset you." he pulled me into a hug and spreader his wolf heat throught my body. The doorbell rang. A low growl came from his chest causing me to whimper. He ran his hand through my hair as the door opened.
"Emma we need to talk." Lucas entered the kitchen and I felt his presence behind me. Deacon pushed me behind him and stood his ground.
"Leave Lucas." he bellowed
"Please let me explain Emma. It was never meant to hurt you in anyway. It was just put of curiosity."
"I dont want to talk. Not now. I just want to go to the lake." I grabbed the bag and ran out the door and towards the lake. When I reached the lake a wave of calmness washed over me.
"I got lunch!" I called as I sat at the edge of the dock careful not to touch the water. Hope splashed around with her beautiful pink tail, Dominic was teaching Violet how to float, and Sabrina, in mermaid form, splashed James. Somehow James was in the water swimming but how he was like me?
"Emma glad you can make it. I made something for you." Dominic swam 9ver and put a charm bracelets l around my wrist.
"What is it?"
"Think of a species you want to be and wish for it."
I wished to be human and sparkful energy filled my body. I tried to change my eyes blue but nothing happened. I smiled and took of my clothes revealing my all black bikini. I jumped in the water and let coolness rush over me. For once I was having fun maybe it'll last a little longer. Hopefully.
