Hidden System

Chapter 4: (part 2)

~Lucas' room~

-Ten minutes later-

   When Dominic pulled up to the house I ran to the door in my now muddy dress and swung the door open. I rounded the corner and James and Lucas sat at the bar with their heads in their hands.

   "James. Lucas." I sobbed. They whipped their heads towards me. James launched at ne and we held each other.

   "Im so sorry. I didn't know. I need you. Please dont run away again." he said all atone. I nodded my head.

   "Em." Lucas sobbed. James let me go and I ran to Lucas who was on his knees on the floor. He grabbed my face and stared. Into my eyes as if to make sure it was the real me. When he saw scratches across my face from running past low twigs he cried. I pulled him into a hug and let him cry on my shoulder.

   "Im here. Im so sorry. Im not going to leave you or anyone ever again." I said stroking his black hair.

   "I thought I lost you forever. I shouldve went after you but I froze Im so sorry."

   "You didn't lose me. None of you did." I stood and helped Lucas stand.

   "Lets get you into some dry clothes you probably caught something." Sabrina said leading me to the back room. I changed into a sweatshirt and shorts. When I touched my skin I could feel the scars and scratches from the branches and twig. I washed my hair and face in the sink. I went to the kitchen and everyone was sitting at the table eating while discussing something. I sat down on the couch, covered myself with a blanket, and laid down. After the sound of dishes clinking together filled the house, James picked me up and put me in his lap. Sabrina sat next to him and rested her head on his shoulder while Lucas, in wolf form, curled up at the end of the couch while Dominic paced around the living room.

   That night I was stirred awake by something I couldn't put my finger on. Lucas was still at the foot of the couch and Dominic was fast asleep in the arm chair. A wave a pain flowed through my body and I tasted blood in my mouth. I stood and ran to the bathroom not caring if I woke anybody up with my grunts and moans. I slammed the door closed, crouched over the toilet and hurled up what looked like blood. Lucas burst into the bathroom and crouched next to me holding my hair out of my face.

   "Shhhh its ok. Let it out." he said while hitting a button on the wall.

   "It burns." I managed.

   "I know just hang in there." Dominic, Sabrina, and James were at the door watching with horror. Fear filled my head. Am I dying? Is this it for me? When I stopped puking blood I felt weak and dizzy. I tried to stand but as soon as I got on my two feed I fell.  Lucky me, Lucas caught me before I busted my head on the floor. Sabrina sprinted away from the door down the hall towards her room. James ran after her and Dominic just stared at me with a worried glance in his eyes.

   "We need to get her in bed." Lucas said picking me up bridal style and carried me towards his room.

   "What's happening to me." I said

   "Your transitioning into your demon half. James went through the same thing but his was ten times worse than yours." Dominic whispered the last part. Soft blankets were put over me and a pillow was rested under my head.

   "Get some sleep ok. Ill bring you a bucked if you have to throw up again." Lucas said then he shifted into his wolf and layed down next to the bed. Dominic rolled his eyes and kissed my head.

   "Ill see you in the morning ok angel." he smiled and left the room. I closed my eyes and let sleep control my body.
