Chapter 8: The Big Bad Wolf

The alarm beside me went off. Instantly I reached for the button to turn it off. I sat up hit the button and saw it was 4:50 in the morning.

  “Wake up. You have ten minutes before we start training.”James said as he chucked a pair of leggings and a sports bra at me.

  “Itsss toooo earrlllyyyyy.” I whined

  “Get up or I'm setting fire to your ass.” I immediately get up and run to the bathroom. I got dressed and sighed at the bags under my eyes. I stayed up all night because of stupid dreams about my mother. I knew she was safe,but I felt as if she Wasn't. I splashed my face with cold water and walked out the bathroom only to come face to face with a shadowed figure. I screamed and fell to the floor landing on my back. The hallway was dark as the figure came towards me I scurried backwards trying to get away. The person inched closer and I got to the edge of the stairs.

  “Please. I didn't see your face.” I begged his hand raised in the air and I let out a blood curdling scream. My body froze in place and the figure took off when James voice could be heard.

  “What the hell was that noise?” he asked I couldn't speak or move.

  “WHERE IS SHE?!” Dominic’s voice echoed downstairs.

  “Who are we talking about?” Sabrina said.

  “WHERE IS EMMA?!” he ran upstairs and nearly broke.

  “Holy shit. Emma! What's wrong? What happened? Angel answer me.” he saw the fear in my now blue eyes and placed my hand on his cheek. His eyes glistened with fury.

  “Please don't hurt me!” I begged shielding my face.

  “Emma I'm not going to hurt you.” I shyly look up to see Dominic. I looked around and James, Sabrina, and Lucas stare at me with confusion.

  “He’s gone.” I sighed and hugged Dominic’s neck tightly as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

  “Who’s gone? Emma what happened?” Lucas asked

  “There was a man he was waiting for me and he tried to attack me.” Dominic squeezed me harder and let me rest my head on the soft part of his chest.

  “Alright let's train a little bit before we leave.” Sabrina helped me up and walked me to the big field. I stood in the center as Dominic pulled out a duffle  bag.

  “First we are going to work on fighting with just your hands. Throw a punch at Lucas.”

  “I'm not going easy on ya doll face.” Lucas said standing in front of me.

  “Don't.” I threw a punch but faked it and punched him in the gut.

  “Holy fuck.” he doubled over and Dominic roared with laughter.

  “Nice sis. Now actually fight him.” he clapped his hands and motioned for us to go on.

  We fought as the other three watched. I ran up to Lucas and wrapped my legs around his waist and he supported me by my thighs. I leaned in closer to where are lips were almost touching ,then u smiled and flipped him over on his back.

  “James you have one strong ass sister.” Lucas groaned laying his head back on the ground.

  “You have got to teach me that!” Sabrina squealed. Lucas got up and tackled me to the floor tickling my sides. The gang starts laughing. I screamed for Lucas to stop but he continued. When he finally stopped everyone grew silent.
