Chapter 20

(Reapers POV)

Gosh im so tired i can barley keep my eye sockets open "Hey dude dont fall asleep on me" Dust said just as tired I nodded half acknowledging him it was really all just mush on what he said words jumbled to the point where you can almost make out the meaning but its still scrambled,then the darkens and a much needed rest came.

Blinding lights where being flashed I blinked wincing at the light blinking i realized i was looking at the ceiling strange faces looking over me there porciline masks reflecting my self on them "Whats.. Going on?" i murmurer out trying to raise my hand but it was restrained I blinked fully aware now "Whats going on?!" i said loudly making one faceless monster jump back startled as if they just noticed i was there. "Hush now Reaper Where just testing a new item on you" I looked up as far as i could they too wore a mask, "who.." "Am i? Well the names Sci if you relax then this simple procedure will be painless and easy.. Well at least for me" he chuckled evilly "What the h311? Wheres dust What do you mean procedure??!" i spoke harshly my voice cracking from the strain of being over used from earlier by yelling. "Give him the Knock out gas I heard hes quite the smart mouth" i struggled trying to avoid the mask being placed over my mouth and nose but they held me down then....

(Genos POV)

The wall loomed over us  I looked up fearfully taking a shaky breath i had never bin this close to the wall ever,"Hey calm down it will be okay just follow what i do" i nodded still nervous surprisingly a small door opend i followed him inside the concrete walls Everything was dark before a flash of light and a whoosh of air flooded the tiny glass room then the glass slid open reviling more soldiers i gulped nervously "Soldier 219 and...?" said one who i presumed to be the commander they wore a yellow line on there arm the only color i have seen "Oh this is soldier 343 his regiment left him behind so i brought him back to report" The commander nodded seemingly not appeased by this information "Alright please do report."

After he reported they let us go "where do you think they would be?" i asked nervously "The holding cell i think," he said looking around the pristine white area it felt overwhelming all this horrible blankness I was already longing for the tall birch trees that littered the camp or the colorful lilacs that just sprouted last week "Lets just hurry and find them" he nodded and swiftly walked forward having bin familiar with this place he fit in well and looked confident how ever for me not so much I flinched at any sound and nervousness riddled my body "Where almost there" I breathed a sigh of relief picking up the pace. No guards questioned us since apparently we where higher status then them hurrying forward we turned the corner to a bunch of empty cells all but one There was a guard standing outside.

With out a second thought i sprinted towards the guard and before they nw it they hit the ground with a silent thud knocked out. I stood up looked back at my companion for this trek "Do you know how to get in???" i asked frantically he nodded scanning the unconscious soldiers body before he found a key card a swiped it,I rushed in and found only Reaper Rushing to him i tackled he gasped in fear before grabbing me roughly and pinning me "Come any..Closer...and ill....K-kill..him..." he sounded exhausted each word trailing off he sounded off "Reaper its me!" i said through the mask He looked down at me bewildered before wincing "Your just tricking me again you cant be geno" he snarled angrily "No it really is me" i wiggled a hand free and clipped off the mask it slid to the ground He instantly unpinned me and hugged me tightly.

"Im so Glad your okay" i breathed noticing the smell on his clothes smelt like medicine and blood. " Did they hurt you??" i asked concerned forgetting all about the awaiting soldier giving us time to have our little reunion He casted a look to the side nervously "I dont know what they did to me One moment they where talking about a procedure and next thing i new im back hear Dust never came back I fear the worst though.." he said searching my gaze both of his hands held mine firmly as if he let go i would vanish. "Do you know where they took him?" he shook his head "I think something really bad happend to him I overheard them saying it didn't work on me yet,how ever the other one succeeded" "Oh no.." "Well jeez guys i hate to ruin your little moment hear however.. We will get figured out soon and i would rather not be held accountable for Treason!" i nodded standing up while pulling reaper up "Are you okay enough to walk or perhaps run?" he nodded but i could tell he was lying his face seemed slightly busted up with a slight crack on his eye socket. Ill have to believe him for now though we are running out of time,"What about dust?" i asked the soldier who was growing nervous by the second "We will figure a way to save him later right now we need to get outta hear" i looked up at Reaper who looked one moment from passing out I squeezed his hand "Oh Reaper" he looked up from the floor i used my other hand to pick up his old mask from my pocket a long crack going down it,It also had mud and scuff marks on it He shuddered but grudgingly slipped it on breathing a shaky breath before i hurriedly walking and half dragging Reaper down the long hallway.
