Layka's POV
I felt cold, like the warmth that I needed was gone. I turned to the other side only to find it empty. I frowned knowing I was to attached to Tyler now. I've only known him for almost a bloody week, but though it feels like I've been with him for an eternity.
I stopped moping around and got up. As I made my way to the living room I saw Christine and Tyler talking to a group of people.
"What do you mean there was a rouge attack in our territory?!" Tyler was screaming from the top of his lungs and honestly it scared me.
One blonde boy hung his head down in shame. I'm assuming these were his pack members.
"We were really out numbered and some of the wolfs smelled familiar, like from another pack."
"Expand border patrol. Christine and I will go check things out. Also, get some pack members to protect the house. I don't want anything to happen to Layka."
Christine and Tyler ran out the door with the other pack members. I don't know what's happening but it doesn't seem good. I walked in the living room and a got a bad vibration.
My chest started to constrict and my vision blurred. I sat down on the couch, calming myself down a bit. I heard a crash from outside and I shot up, grabbing the nearest lamp. I heard another crash come from inside and I ran out the door. I heard easy footsteps right behind me.
I ran and ran until I couldn't breathe anymore. I was being chased. I didn't know by who or why. All I knew was that I needed to get away as fast as I could. I stopped by a near by tree to catch my breath.
I thought I had lost the person that was following me, but then I heard a branch snap behind me. I made another run for it. I could here someone, a him to be precise, laugh.
"You can't run for long. You'll be mine soon."
I ran as fast as my legs could stand. I could feel him getting closer and closer until he pounced on me. I didn't want to open my eyes; I was afraid. I couldn't take it anymore.
My eyes snapped open and all air left my lungs. There was a huge wolf on top off me looking like it wanted to eat me. It's eyes were dark green with a brown coating. The next thing I knew the wolf bit me on my left shoulder.
The bite stung. The wound was burning through my body, I could feel it. My vision started to blur but I caught the glimpse of the wolf that bit me and it was none other than Liam.
"I'm sorry bella, but it was the only thing I could do. Tyler has always taken away everything I wanted and now were even. Very sad that it had to end like this."
He walked out the woods laughing evilly. Liam left me there to die and there was nothing I could do about it. What is Del going to do when she finds out? My body still burned but my eyes were getting heavy.
I heard someone running up to me and carrying me in there arms. I felt relaxed and let my body go. My eyes closed and I was no longer in pain, I was dead.
They say you see that light to your path but the only thing I saw was black. Maybe it was suppose to end like this but it ended and I was never coming back.
