Chapter 16

Layka's POV

I was pacing my room, or Tyler's, literally pulling my scalp off. Del hasn't woken up yet and I'm worried for her. I still don't know what Colton told her that made her faint. She's usually the calm type of person.

I walked out my room and went straight to Colton's room and surely their he was by Del's side holding her hand, concern written all over his face. When he heard me come in he glanced in my direction and I couldn't help but frown.

"Colton we need to talk."

He nodded, kissed Del's hand, and followed me. I know Tyler went out to some pack duty and let Colton stay with Del. I took him to the office and gestured for him to sit.

"What did you want to talk about?"

I crossed my arms,"What exactly did you tell Del yesterday?"

"I told her that I was a werewolf and so were you and Tyler but she didn't believe me so I told her I'd prove it to her."

I snapped my head in his direction,"And how exactly did you prove it to her?"

He put his head down,"I-I shifted in front of her."

He did what now?! How could he be so stupid? I didn't realize when but I grabbed Colton by the collar and pinned him to the wall. I knew for a fact it was my wolf taking over.

"Why the hell would you do that?!"

"I know what I did was wrong but it was the only way I could prove it to her."

I narrowed my eyes,"Couldn't you just have shown your eye? I'm pretty sure yours change color too."

"I didn't think of that. I'm sorry."

I let go of him,"You don't have to apologize to me. It's Del you have to apologize too. Did you at least tell her your her mate?"

He shook his head,"No, she fainted before I could tell her anything else."

I was about to speak when someone who called my name caught our attention. It was Delilah.

"Layka?"

"What are you doing here? Are you okay?"

I took a few steps towards her and she did also and hugged met tight as hell. She quickly pushed me off and took a few steps away from me. I gave her a confused look but then I noticed Colton behind me. No wonder she looks afraid.

I turned around and faced Colton. I gave him my look, which I believe he didn't know yet. That look was enough to send two kindergarten classes away.

"Colton, please leave Delilah and I alone," I said with a stern face.

"But Lay-"

"Now," I said with authority lacing off my voice.

"Yes Luna."

He walked away with a sad twinkle in his eye. I turned to face my friend and she was ready to explode with tears. Before she was ready to spill them I took her to my room and sat her in the couch by the window wall. She was shacking and I could hear her heart beating fast.

"Del I know your confused but I can explain everything."

"Is it true then? Is Colton really.... a wolf?"

I gave her an apologetic look,"I'm afraid it is true. So is Tyler and Christine."

She started to cry,"How can that be possible?"

I shrugged,"I don't know. But don't be scared they won't hurt you."

"How? How did you get here?"
