Layka's POV
I woke up feeling strange, relaxed at the most. I don't know why but I feel safe. I opened my eyes and didn't recognize the place I was in. I also noticed I wasn't wearing my dress but a huge t-shirt that didn't belong to me. The room I was in was very beautiful. It had a huge king sized bed, a white couch on the side of the window and the walls were glass except the one behind the bed. I could get a good view of the woods from here.
I then heard someone trying to come in. To my relief it was Tyler with Christine. They both looked like they had a long night. I couldn't help but notice how Tyler was looking at me. Like I was some type of treasure of his that he would do anything in his power to keep me.
"Layka, your awake."
"Yeah. I just woke up." I took a step back and watched the woods.
The little shine in his eyes faded and that made me a little down. How could I possibly feel like this over a guy that I just barley knew? He took a step closer but I was so afraid about last night. He had turned into a wolf like nothing.
"We need to talk."
Christine left the room, making the situation ten times more uncomfortable. He signaled for me to sit in the couch. I did and crossing my legs while he just sat in front of me.
"What are you?"
He looked down as if he was afraid to tell me about last night. I really wanted to know because maybe he can give me clues on what my dreams mean.
"I'm a werewolf and so is my sister. I'm the alpha of my pack."
I understood what packs and alphas are from regular wolves but that still doesn't explain anything about my dreams.
"What happened to me last night?"
"Your drink was spiked. Liam made a waiter put some drug in the champagne and give it directly to you."
"Why though? Why me?"
"Because you're different."
How the hell am I different? Yeah maybe I don't have a lot of money or look that attractive, but how am I different?
I looked up to find Tyler looking at me with such intensity. My stomach did a flip. How am I not feeling scared at all?
"How am I different?"
He smiled,"You smell different. Sure your human, but you don't smell like one."
I chuckled,"Then what do I smell like? Rotten trash."
"No, actually you smell like flowers. Like the aroma of fresh lilies and Lavendar. It's really nice actually."
I looked down and blushed. No guy, not even Aaron, has said anything like that to me. There was something different about him that had my heart racing.
I looked at him and there was a look of praise on his face. What am I to him? He's been like this ever since last night. I'm feeling the same and it felt right but there is too much going on right now.
"Layka, there is something you have to know."
"What is it?" I was scared. What if he told me he wanted to kill me after revealing his secret, like in the movies. The guy reveals his secret the girl and then kills her so she won't tell anyone.
"Your my mate."
I furrowed my brows,"What are mates?"
He half smiled,"They're the person your suppose to be with; soul mates. Not like humans were you choose who to be with, but us werewolves get our mates from the moon gods. We were destined to be with them and you fall in love from the moment you meet them."
