Chapter 17
Betty POV:
*Betty,Malachi and Reggie on the phone *
Betty: hey Reg, what's up?
Reggie: Betts, you need to hurry up. He keeps trying to start a fight with the other ghoulies. I can't control him for much longer.
Betty: ok um. Can you stall him for another 20 minuets?
Reggie: yeah I think so. Just as he finished his sentence Malachi steals his phone.
Malachi: hiiiiiiiiiii bettssssss
Betty: Malachi give Reggie his phone back.
Malachi: Betts, I wanted to talk to you. Pleaseeeeeee
Betty: ok, be quick. I'm going to be at the bar soon. Wouldn't you rather speak to me in person?
Malachi: your right, I'll see you soon. Bye Betty. I miss you.
Betty: Bye Malachi.
*Call ends*
I walk back into pops and sat next to Fangs.
Fangs: what did Reggie want?
Betty: he told me to try and hurry up. Malachi is trying to start a fight with any Ghoulie he can. What is he thinking, he can't even stand on his own. And then he said he missed me. I don't know what to do Fangs, I want to help him but I need to make it clear to him that we are only friends.
Fangs: don't worry, if he tries anything on you the Ghoulies will protect you.
Betty: but Fangs he's the leader, they have to agree with him.
Fangs: haven't you noticed Betty? They care for you. They would chose you over Malachi any day of the week. He's a mess and can't look after himself or the Ghoulies. So trust me when I say this, the Ghoulies will put you first, no matter what.
Betty: thank you. I love you. I say to him and he pulls me in for a hug.
Fangs: I love you to Betts.
We both pull out from the embrace.
Betty: did I ever tell you that you give the best hugs?
Fangs: uh what? You definitely give the best hugs.
Betty: Nope, you do. No arguments.
Fangs: Fine but I disagree. We both laugh. Pop comes over to our table and places the food and drinks down, we say good bye and walk out to Fangs car.
Jughead POV:
I watched them the whole time, every minute made me feel more jealous then before. Then the guy kissed her on her forehead, she had no reaction, as if it was normal for that to happen to her. Then I heard them say I love you to each other. I really messed up. I lost the love of my life because I was jealous of her sleeping next to her best friend. Why do I mess everything up. She looked so happy with that guy, he made her laugh and was there to wipe away her tears. I wish I could have been that guy when I had the chance. ( this last line sounds like a Bruno Mars song 😂 )
Betty POV:
Me and Fangs arrive back at the lair and hand out food to the 5 of us. Malachi was still running around acting like an idiot and annoying a lot of the other Ghoulies.
Betty: Malachi, would you like to come and sit with me so we can eat?
He nods his head.
Betty: So what's going on with the Ghoulies Malachi?
Malachi: I don't no anymore. I've made a mess of everything
Betty: hey, don't worry. I'm here to help you. I will come back tomorrow morning and help you out. For now let's just eat. Me and Malachi share the food as I wasn't really hungry and he's still really drunk I new he wouldn't eat that much. We talked for a while until I got a call from Joaquin
Betty: hey guys I have to take this.
They all nod. I walk outside and answer the call.
*Betty and Joaquin on the phone*
Betty: hey Joaquin
Joaquin: where are you? I heard something happened with Jughead?
Betty: I'm staying with the Ghoulies for a while, don't freak out. I'm only doing it because it's absolutely necessary and me and Malachi are definitely never getting back together so don't worry and lastly someone sent a video of Archie carrying me to his bed and then him sleeping next to me.
Joaquin: so? You two have been doing it since you were young.
Betty: that's exactly what Reggie said. Anyway, he thought I slept with him and he said I was a worthless slut, like my parents called me and broke up with me.
Joaquin: he said what?!
Betty: yep and he said I didn't deserve any of his time and that we were a mistake. Jason was right, me and him never should have gotten together.
Joaquin: I'm so sorry Betts.
Betty: don't worry, I was stupid enough to think he was nice, different. I should get going, I don't want to worry the others. Bye Joe and tell the other I will see them in two days, so we can catch up before me and Archie's flight.
Joaquin: sure and bye Betts, we all love you.
Betty: I love you all too.
*Call ends*
I walk back inside and I see Malachi fast asleep.
Betty: Finally he's asleep I say to everyone making them chuckle.
Reggie: do you want me to take you home? You look exhausted.
Toni: or you could stay with me for tonight, I miss you and I really want to catch up.
Betty: I would love to T, but tomorrow I need to run a couple errands so if you could drop me off at my house that would be great. Then I will come back here to sort out the mess Malachi got us into.
We all say our good byes and me and Toni head to her house.
We arrive at her house and I flop onto the couch. Then suddenly she jumps on top of me and gives me the biggest hug, I missed her.
Toni: I missed you so much B. I missed your smile, your laugh, your voice, even your bossy ness, we both laugh.
Toni: I missed everything about you and I'm so glad your back
Betty: I missed you and everyone else so much. I just couldn't go back there.
Toni: trust me, we all understand. But when you walked into the bar you seemed a little off. Your eyes weren't as sparkley as usual.
Betty: is that how you tell when I'm upset? I chuckle
Toni: yep and I've never been wrong. So spill.
Betty: if I tell you, you would hate me forever.
Toni: you could stab me and I would still love you. We both laugh.
Betty: ok fine. But you better not be lying. So you know the night me and Malachi broke up. Jughead kidnaped me.
Toni: excuse me what!
Betty: yeah, that's not all. I started to develop feelings for him and he had feelings for me. We got together.
Toni: Although your preference is terrible I'm glad you have someone, but why do you look sad?
Betty: well I didn't finish T, I say chucking.
Betty: Someone sent him a video of me and Archie sleeping in the same bed.
Toni: so? You two are best friends.
Betty: your the third person to say that.I tried telling him that but he didn't believe me, he said we were a mistake and that I was a worthless slut and then broke up with me.
Toni: he called you what!
Betty: a worthless slut, just like my parents called me. A few tears escape my eyes. Toni pulls me into a hug.
Toni: aww B, you don't deserve any of this. You are such a beautiful person. You are definitely not worthless or a slut.
Betty: Thanks T
Toni: you know what? Me and you are going shopping tomorrow night!
Betty: really? You? Going shopping with me?
Toni: don't seem so surprised B and I can't wait. Now get some sleep so your ready for tomorrow.
Betty: ok and thank you for everything T
Toni: No problem B.
