The contractions came about 7 minutes apart, not getting any worse, and not getting any closer.
"Derek, where the hell is Cristina! If you can't find her get Alex!". I look at him expectantly, waiting for him to move. "Now!". I scream, shocking him so he jumps and then runs out of the door to find either Yang or Karev. I look at the nurse and say "Ice chips, please?".
"Right away, Dr Grey. Of course. " And she turns away to go get me some ice chips.
"Mer, of course it would be you to go into labor in the middle of a super storm. "
"Argh, not helping! Tell about Alex. Anything to distract me. " I say as I give her the evil eye to start talking.
"Alex and I are good. The sex is mind blowingly amazing as always. He wants to have kids. I mean, I'll be willing to do anything to make him happy, but it just seems so gross to have another PERSON... oh, wait, the only reason I'm here is because you're in labor... sorry. "
"No it's fine Cristina. Totally fine. "
I double over in pain again, and look at my watch. "Damn it. 5 minutes apart now. Go get Addison. Tell her she needs to come right now. "
"Uh... You want to fly..." she pauses mid sentence and nods. "Of course. I'll go get Addison. "
"Thanks Cristina. "
"Yup. Don't mention it. "
"Yo, Mer, you got a visitor. She says that you don't know her. But she works here. Can she come in, or not. "
I wave my hand "whatever. I don't care."
"Hi Dr Grey. I'm your half sister through Ellis."
