CHAPTER 4
*at home 3 days later*
Emi (Emilia) is crying in the room next to Derek and Meredith's.
"Hey Mer, wanna get this one and I'll get the next? I need to sleep." Derek says to the half asleep Meredith.
"Does it look like I want to, Derek?"
"No, but I got the last one."
"Fine."
Meredith gets up and slowly walks to the door and opens it to see Zola.
"Momma, Emi's crying. Bailey also woke up too. Can I sleep with Daddy until you come back?". Zola asks me.
"Sure Zozo. It'll only take me a while to calm then down. "
"Thanks Momma.".
Opening the door and turning in the light to Bailey and Emilia's room makes me pause for a second. Bailey is throwing his toys over the side of his crib railing and Emilia is on her side flailing.
"Hush Emi. It's alright. Everything's fine. Go back to sleep. Momma needs sleep too." I say as I pick up Emi and hold her to that she's wrapping her arms around my neck, acing her head in my shoulder.
"Bailey stop throwing your toys. It's okay. Everything is totally fine. Go back to sleep. "
After about what seemed like an hour, I finally got everyone back to sleep and was able to almost sleepwalk back to my room to sleep. Standing in the doorway I see my oldest daughter, Zola, sleeping in bed next to her father. I smile and crawl in next to them.

BEEP BEEP BEEP
After what seemed like five minutes of sleep, I hear my alarm going off and look over to see Derek getting Zola dressed, himself still in boxers and a tee shirt messily thrown over it. I sit up in bed, smiling over at part of my amazing family, and smile.
"Hey, you're up! I'll go make breakfast! And coffee, of course! I got little Zola here dresses, but Bailey and Emi are still sleeping. "
"Yeah, thanks Derek! Coffee would be wonderful. I'll go get Bailey and Emi dressed. I'll see you two downstairs once breakfast is ready, okay?".
"Yes Momma!"
After they leave, I flop back into my bed, my totes landing in a pile of really fluffy pillows. I close my eyes, enjoying the peace and quiet for just a moment, before through the baby monitor, I start to hear either Bailey or Emi start to wake up. I sigh, throw back the covers and pull myself out of my warm bed.
"Momma!". Bailey says in his loud voice. "I has to pee. And baby is not wake yet. "
"Okay, let's get you over to the toilet to pee, and then see if Emi is awake yet. Does that sound like a good plan? "
As I pick up Bailey, he nods his head.
After we come back to their room from the little kids bathroom we had put in across the hall from their room, little Emi is moving her arms and her head and feet around, looking quite like a beetle on it's back. She let out a cry as I scooped her up and quieted her down. Just then, Zola ran up the stairs, and tripped, flying towards the railing, hitting her head. Derek must have heard the loud chonch, because he came running, and saw me with Bailey and Emi, unable to do anything about Zola, who was crying on the stairs.
"Zola it's okay. Everything's going to be fine!" I tell her. "Derek," I whimper. "Is Zola going to be okay?".
"She should be. Damn, I mean shoot. She's bleeding. We have to get her to the hospital right now so she doesn't loose any more blood. "
I nod and walk away, getting Emi and Bailey ready for their trip to the hospital.
