Marina was banging her head against the wall. She asked Angelica if she could carry out the promise she made to Ian, but since their last encounter wasn't positive, she refused. She had insomnia because of the terrors the day had brought, so she asked Matt for some sleeping pills. He gladly agreed and gave her a week's worth. At least there was someone being agreeable. Elisa wouldn't come out of her room, Dezra wouldn't come back after re-opening the portal and confessing that he was a demon, so she was overjoyed with Matt's kindness. Suddenly, she had an idea. It was risky and dangerous, but it would help her current situation a lot. She decided that it would be better to set in motion later.

The Next Day

Marina was concerned about the success chances of her plan, but it didn't matter until the afternoon. Marina was concerned about Elisa, so she prepared a brunch for her. She hadn't come out since yesterday. Marina folded a note up and put it beside the plate. Marina knocked on the door.

"Elisa? It's Marina, I made food for you."

"Did you give me a soda?"

"You know it."

"Well, I'm only thirsty, so bring it in."

"I'm still giving you food."

"Just bring it in here."

Marina opened the door and carefully placed the meal on the nightstand. She made sure Elisa ate something, then left. Elisa fell asleep, so Marina didn't want to bother her. Next, she gave Angelica some tea. She fell asleep too, so Marina assumed she was tired. Finally, she slouched on one of the bar stools.

"Mind if I join you?"

"Not at all. Want something to drink?"

"Sure! Just water, please."

Marina went to the kitchen to get the water. She plopped the last tasteless sleeping pill in his drink, mixing it with a straw. He didn't see a thing. Good. She handed him the drink, getting one for herself so she wouldn't raise suspicion. Ian sipped his water and talked to Marina.

"Looks like everyone's cooped up in their rooms."

"Yeah. It's kinda weird. Are they plotting something?"

"Dun-dun-DUN!!!"

Marina laughed distantly, spacing out for a bit.

"Is everything okay?"

"It's nothing. I just didn't get the best sleep. You?"

"I thought I did, but I feel really tired."

Ian let out a yawn that broke the silence of the lab/house.

"That's funny. Oh, I forgot to give you something. Read it when you wake up."

"Wake up from wha..."

Ian stopped talking, falling asleep like Marina did with the others. She had to go quickly, because Matt locked himself up, and would be able to that he was drugged. She ran, eyes shining with tears. Matt's door started to unlock. Marina ran as fast as she could. She jogged through the portal, hiding in a cave filled with candles. A sacrifice area. She knew what she had to do. She slowly pulled out the knife from her pocket...
