Chapter - 8 : What have I gotten myself into!?

Sorry for the late update. I'm back. Idk if you're still reading this but here is the next update.

I know M.A.O.M.H is in a happy mode and it'll be like that for a few coming chapters. But soon their small bubble of love will be surrounded by dark clouds.

PEARL'S P. O. V

"Sherhoey, you must be having important works at office. I'll be there for around 2 hours, You shouldn't waste your time. Just visit your grandpa and go to your office." I urged him almost hundredth time.

This man is not getting it! We're presently in his black SUV, arguing on the matter that he should attend his meeting which is very important according to his secretary but he is adamant on ignoring it. I don't know why he is being so difficult.

His secretary is calling him continuously but this arrogant man won't budge at all. He is just dismissing the call.

"Angel, I'm not leaving you alone. No way! The meeting is not that important. Nothing is more important than you." he replied casually, refusing to listen to any of my urges.

Hell now!

"Sherhoey, I'm not going to di-" I stopped abruptly when I saw him gripping the steering wheel so tightly, making his knuckles go white.

Oops!! I shouldn't have said die. Dammit!

"- I mean Sherhoey I'll be fine...see I'm perfectly okay. Please attend the meeting ." I quickly corrected myself.

"Nope. Angel, you are sick and I'm not going anywhere. That's it." He again refused.

This man!

"Sherhoey, I can't live with you always. I've to head back anyways. And I'm thinking of returning home today. You too better go office, okay?" I spoke slowly and soft so he would agree with me.

I didn't planed to drop this bomb on him but he was being so stubborn and difficult. We just know each other for barely few hours. I can't live with him. Plus, it's very inappropriate. I remember my determination to distance myself from him. I don't want to continue it this way. Already, I've done enough to give him wrong hints. There is no need to add to it.

He is a very good person. A gentleman too. He took care of me. He behaved properly and I really appreciate him for all that. But how could I continue living with him? I don't want to become more of a burden then I'm already till now. He have done more than enough. Now it's time to head back.

I'm glad to have him as my friend though. No matter what I'll continue being friends with him because I know he is very lonely. But maintaining the proper distance as well.

The car suddenly stopped jerking me away from my thoughts. I looked at him and I saw he had stopped the car all of a sudden. He clicked his seatbelt and turned towards me. I gazed at his crystal blue eyes and all I could see was hurt and pain in those bright orbs of his.

Crap! I always hurt him. :/

He leaned towards me and undid my seatbelt too. He then, cupped my cheeks and placed a kiss on my temple,making my eyes flutter close. It was a long kiss, as his lips were pressed against my forehead for more than necessary. I felt his lips quivering.
