Naruto's Older Sister

Chapter 8

"Come on, what could be taking Captain Yamato so long?!" Naruto whined.

"I know, right? I wonder where he went off to..." Mito agreed.

"That seems to be the question of the night." Sakura sighed.

Sai, Naruto, Mito and Sakura have been sitting in front of a fire in the middle of the night, waiting for Captain Yamato to show up.

To Naruto's surprise he saw some bushes moving and then Captain Yamato had revealed himself from.

"You finally showed up!" Naruto yelled, excitedly.

Yamato walked very slowly towards the group that his face wasn't even visible until unexpectedly he lit up a flashlight to his face, frightening Naruto greatly.

"Yikes!!!" Naruto yelled, terrified

Yamato had put down the flashlight and began to laugh at Naruto who was scared easily.

"Er— Captain Yamato, don't scare us like that!" Naruto complained getting back into his sitting position.

"Sorry, sorry. I couldn't resist..."

"Believe me you're scary enough without putting on some kind of spooky act...!" Naruto informed.

Yamato couldn't help but laugh at Naruto, "what can I say? You're an easy target Naruto."

"Anyway" Mito sighed, "back to what we were talking about earlier... Why would anyone want to rob from a grave? It's awful."

Yamato turned serious "It is, often the graves of wealthy people are targeted by thieves who try to steal any valuable objects buried in the tomb, but in these robberies the bodies of the treasures were undisturbed, it's a very troubling case; every robbery happened in the same area all within 5 Km of the fire temple where were all headed now." explained Yamato.

"The Fire Temple?" asked Naruto

Yamato nodded, "Mhm. They've hired us for this mission, catching thieves is a simple enough job, but they specifically wanted leaf village ninja, so something tells me there's more to it than that. As a matter of fact, I've learned there are four hidden tombs in the area around the temple."

"Do you think there's any chance the grave robbers could've been targeting those hidden tombs?" Sai asked.

"Mhm, it's a strong possibility." Yamato nodded.

"What's up with these hidden tombs, what are they?" Mito asked.

"Even in death the body of a ninja contains a wealth of information. To sum that knowledge is a gold mine. Remember your fight with Sasori?" Yamato asked.

"He turned the body of the third Kazekage into one of his puppets..!" Mito gasped as she had a flashback of her fight.

"That's right, the more powerful the ninja was the more useful they can be. In order to protect the tombs from thieves and raiders, burials are often setup and their built in secret locations. That's what we'll be dealing with."

"So I guess some really amazing ninja must be resting inside those tombs, huh?" Naruto asked, excited.

"indeed, especially these four, the information they hold is incredibly valuable." Yamato explained.

"That's crazy." Naruto stated in disbelief.

"On the other hand, something else could be going on here... it's quite possible that the tombs weren't desecrated on the outside."

Everyone's eyes widen in fear, not nearly as much as Naruto though.

"In other words those ninja have become... zombies!" Yamato exclaimed holding a flashlight to his face again.
