Chapter 23

      it was Monday and I was sitting in 4th period with Gabe, Ava, Jack, and Kenneth which was history. I sorta like history but not  really. Kenneth insisted we sit in the back away from the teacher cause apparently she likes to spit and I'm not having spit in my face. No Gracias.

I took the seat 2nd from the end next to Kenny which was by the​ the aisle. Next to us was Damon,Dylan, and Matt. The seats in front of them were occupied by none other Than Lacy and her brats.

      I was doing our assignment when I heard Kenny sigh dramatically beside me so I finished my sentence and turned to him. In which he was starring directly at Matt, which to Kenny wasn't creepy at all.

"Yes Kenny?" I said.

"Matt's So hot! And he's definitely Gay." He excitedly. I frowned.

"Really? How can you tell.?" I asked him.

"Well he hasn't stared at Lacy and her ugly purple thong like Dylan has at all."He said.

" And look at the way he's uncomfortable with the girl who's ogling him." He added glaring at the girl.

" Oh okay. But cut it out your scaring the girl." I said to Kenneth.

"OH she needs to know he's mine." He said kind of loudly making the teacher snap her attention to him along with the rest of the class.

"Is there a problem Kenneth.'' The teacher asked him. I saw Kenneth still glaring at the girl so I elbowed him in the ribs lightly.

" What was that Miss?" He asked her.

" I said is there a problem Kenneth?" She asked.

"No mis—"

"You mean besides his sexual orientation" Lacy said with a smirk on her face interrupting Kenneth. I saw Kenneth's hands curl up into fist. He might not be able to fight with a girl but I sure as hell can. I put my hand on Kenneth's shoulder letting him know I got this.

"Oh Look at the idiot who decided to say such big words. Can you even spell orientation." I said.

"Do you think I'm stup-"

"I don’t think you are stupid. You just have a no luck when thinking." I said smiling innocently at her.

"That's enough-"

"At least I dress like my gender." Lacy said back as if it would hurt me. I laughed out loud not a real laugh but a laugh to piss her off.

"I'm sorry. I tend to laugh at stupid mistakes, so my bad if I laugh in your face. Honestly I don't mean to." I said ending the little feud.

" Enough both of you. Another argument and you'll both have detention.'' The teacher said.

" Yes ma'am." I said smirking at Lacy who was pissed off.

I turned to Kenneth who had his hand raised for a high five. And I high fived it. Along with the other hands of my friends.

" Thanks. You didn't have to do that." He said.

" Of course I did what are friends for. Plus I never miss a chance to make her feel stupid." I said.

"That was Hilarious.'' Ava said laughing.

"As I was saying you will partnered up to complete a 4 page essay about The Civil war and its battles,it has to be turned in by Wednesday.I will choose your partners." The teacher said. A bunch of the class booed her.

" First Jack and Lacy." The teacher said. I hoped I get one of my friends. I knew Kenny was hoping he got Matt.

" Finally Matt And Alex." She said.

" You lucky bitch." Kenneth said smiling at me.

" Get me his number will ya." He said before moving to sit with his partner. Matt made his way over to sit in the spot kenneth was at beside me.

"Hey." I said giving him a small smile in which he returned.

"It was good what you did for your friend.'' He said with a slight tint of pink in his cheeks.

" I would've done it for anybody especially my friends.Plus I like to make her feel stupid." I said.

" I see that.' he said laughing.

The rest of the class we talked getting half the work done. He told me stories of him as a kid and I told him stories of my idiot younger self in which he died of laughter. We agreed to meet at my house tomorrow to finish the essay, since we didn't have practice tomorrow nor did I have work. And we even exchanged numbers.
