Chapter 54

A L E X

I had to work this afternoon so I made my way to the mechanic shop. Parking my car I hopped out and enter the shop. Carlos was under a car with oil and grease covering his white shirt. 

"A,!you there?" Carlos yelled from under the car.

"You know it." I said tying my hair into a ponytail before I got started.

"You know I didn't know that you had a thing for Damon?" Carlos asked.

"How did you even know that?" I asked shocked.

"On the days y'all work together I see you giving looks at each other. I'm not much older then y'all." He admits. He rolls out from under the car and winks at me. I throw him a rag as he cleans his hands on it.

"What do you want me to say Carlos? That I like him. That's a given." I said.

"I'm just saying that your feelings aren't one sided. The looks he gives you, says a lot." Carlos says.

"Carlos have you ever been in love?" I asked curiously. Carlos gives me a strange look. "I'm not saying I love him. Gosh no. I just like him. But I want to know if you ever been in love."

"No, I haven't." He says shaking his head. " I'm not saying what Damon and you have is love but it's good to enjoy the good things in life, even if they aren't permanent." Carlos explains before walking to the back of the shop ending the conversation. I sigh thinking about what he said and began to get to work.

After a couple of hours Carlos sent me home. I wanted a snack so I stoped at a gas station. I walked in immediately looking for Pringle's. I found them near the back grabbing a can I made my way to the register paying for my chips and some gas.

"Have a good night." The guy said behind the window.

"You too." I said exiting the store.

With the Pringle's in my hand and the gas pump in the other one I waited until it stoped. When it finally did I got in my car and drove home. As I drove through the town I took a shortcut down a dark street. Immediately a SUV came out of nowhere blocking my path. Before I could turn four guys jumped out the SUV and walked to my car. I need to get out of here.

I put my car in reverse but it was too late one of the guys had popped one of my tires with his knife. I reached for my phone just as my widow was busted open. The door opened and a guy grabbed my arm dragging me out. I turned and swung my fist. But he caught it. Another guy came up from behind me. I felt the coldness before he had said anything. He had a gun pointed behind my head.

If I kept trying resisting he'd shoot my brains out. He removed the gun from my head and lowered it to my back.

"Smart girl. Now move." He said pushing me towards the SUV. They opened the trunk and pushed me in tying my hand behind my back. The guy heels the gun at me as he climbed in with me closing the trunk with his other hand.

"So who's bachelorette party am I being taken to?" I asked hoping to distract the guys. Maybe if I could stall I could figure a way to get out of this.

"Don't talk." Gun guy sneered.

I looked at they guys sitting in the seats in front. These were the guys I knocked out.

"Hey guys if it's any consolation, I didn't mean to knock you out." I said lying through my teeth. Hopefully they won't kill me. They ignored me. Until of of them turned around and smirked at me.

"If it's any consolation , I'm gonna do more than knock you out girl. I'm gonna kill you as soon as boss says I can." He sneered.

"Huh." I pretended to think. "So you always do what your owner tells you to do. Bark bark." I taunted. If I was gonna die I'm gonna go down with sass. The guy lunged for me but was stopped by the guy to his left.
