Iklas POV

"It's been one week since I started attending this school. The school is perfect; everything in it is amazing. Hanan, Amal, and Ifty were very nice, and we quickly became best friends. I love them so much; they are just the best.

That arrogant dude, every time our eyes met, he would shoot me a deadly glare, making me look down. I'm tired of that.

We were coming back from the cafeteria with my friends when our eyes met with that arrogant dude whose name I didn't even know. As expected, he shot me that deadly glare, and I quickly looked down. My mood suddenly changed. Why is he doing this to me? Why? I kept asking myself until we reached our class.

As we entered the class, I quickly sat down and started thinking about that arrogant dude. Hanan tapped my back and asked, 'Why did your mood suddenly change?' 'Nothing,' I said. 'Come on, what are friends for?' Amal said. 'Okay, I will tell you, but please don't tell anybody. Secret?' Ifty said. 'Yes, secret!' I said.

Then I narrated everything to them from our first encounter to today. 'And you never told us?' Hanan said. 'Look, guys, I'm sorry. I didn't even know how to explain it to you!'"

So what's the name of that arrogant dude? Ifty asked. Woooh, I didn't know his name. "Describe him?" asked Amal. Then I described him.
"Don't tell me that it was Ya Alim," Hanan said as she quickly took her phone and showed me a picture of someone.
"Ohhh, yes, he is the one. And his name is Ya Alim?" "Yes, his name is Alameen, Yaya Alameen. He is my brother, my freaking brother!"
My eyes widened 😳 "Are you serious?" "Yes, I am. How come you never told me he was your brother? I know you always talk about him." "But I never saw you talking to him at school." "Ohhh, that's because we fought! His birthday is this coming Saturday, and he doesn't want to celebrate it. But now, he apologized to me, saying we will celebrate it," she said while showing me the text he sent her just now, while smiling sadly.

Then I feel bad for calling her brother with a rude name, so I quickly said, "Hanan, I'm very sorry for calling your brother 'arrogant dude.' I didn't know he was your brother, that's why. OK!" "Do you want me to forgive you?" Hanan asked. "Yes, OK. You guys should come to his birthday party this coming Saturday and don't forget to bring him a present," Hanan said to me. I opened my mouth to talk when Hanan cut me off and said, "Don't reject my offer. If not, I'm not going to forgive you, and I will tell him that you are calling him 'arrogant dude'!" So, I quickly zipped my mouth. Amal and Ifty were very happy, saying that they are going to dance, eat, and whatever.

Hanan quickly called my name and said, "Lemme tell you more about my brother. My brother is not a person that talks too much. And also, he looks grumpy almost all the time. 😂 Stop thinking he's glaring at you, please. 😅" I just laughed, and she continued saying, "He's not a bad person. He cares about everybody, and he is the best brother in the world. He doesn't want to hurt anybody, and he really does care about me. He always wants me to be happy, though we sometimes fight, but he's always there for me. And believe me, till now, he doesn't have a girlfriend because he usually doesn't talk to girls, even though a lot of girls have a crush on him, but he never talks to them."

"But there is this girl who kept following him around. Her name is Fadila, she is so arrogant and the most popular girl in this school, and everybody is scared of her. I just chuckled and said, 'The most popular, oh God,' and then I quickly remembered what she said, that he doesn't have a girlfriend. I was very happy, maybe I can be his girlfriend. But then I quickly brushed off the thought and said, 'That will never happen, the person that doesn't even like me.'"
