Iklas's point of view:

Today is our first term examination, and we are writing civic education and computer today. Yesterday, I couldn't sleep because of this exam. Even though I was distracted by thinking of Ya Alim, thank God I read everything.

After I got dressed, I quickly headed to my father's room. Yes, my father came back yesterday, and he is going to spend one to two weeks in Kano. I'm very happy. After I greeted him, I headed downstairs and found my mum in the kitchen. "Morning, Mom," I said while kissing her cheeks. "How was your night, Iklas?" she asked. "Hectic, Mom. Where is Mus'ab?" "I think he is sleeping," she replied.

So, I quickly headed to his room and found him in his bed, deeply asleep. "Mus'ab, please wake up," I urged. "Uhhh, leave me alone, please," he mumbled. An idea quickly popped into my mind. I ran to his bathroom, grabbed a cup of water, and poured it on him. He instantly jolted up and angrily said, "Iklas, I'm gonna kill you today!" 😡 So, I sprinted out of the room as fast as my legs could carry me, with him
Following me behind

"Mum, mum, save me!" I exclaimed, seeking refuge behind my mum. "What's the matter, dear?" my mum inquired. Mus'ab then chimed in, "She splashed water on me while I was having a good dream." My mum, with a puzzled expression, called out to Mus'ab repeatedly, but he remained in his slumber. "Iklas, why would you do such a thing to him?" my mum questioned. She called his name repeatedly, but he remained unresponsive. "I'll leave you two alone. Your breakfast is ready on the dining table," she informed us as she made her way upstairs, leaving me and Mus'ab in the room.

"Mus'ab, I sincerely apologize. I didn't mean to upset you," I said, trying to appear remorseful. He gazed at me intently and replied, "You're forgiven. Stop pretending to be innocent." I quickly embraced him and pleaded, "Mus'ab, we have exams today. Could you please give me a ride to school?" After a brief pause, he agreed, saying, "Wait for me for 10 minutes." He headed upstairs while I proceeded to the dining room to grab a quick bite.

Upon arriving at school, I noticed Ya Alim and Hanan stepping out of their car. Excitedly, I rushed over to greet Hanan with a warm hug and admired Ya Alim's presence, as charming as ever. While Mus'ab and Ya Alim exchanged pleasantries, I couldn't help but daydream about the upcoming summer break.

After what felt like an eternity, we finally completed our exams, and the school is set to close for the break tomorrow. The thought of parting ways with my dear friends, especially Ya Alim, tugged at my heartstrings. I know it's just a fleeting crush, but the impending separation still weighs heavily on me. Farewells are never easy.
