Iklas POV
As I walk into the school compound, I couldn't help
but admire the beauty of the school. It's so amazing! The students were all bustling around, chatting, and laughing. This is exactly the kind of school I've always wanted to be in. I whispered to myself, "This is it."
Suddenly, Uncle Isah interrupted my thoughts, asking, "What are you looking at?" I just smiled and replied, "Nothing." He then said, "Okay, let's go to the principal's office."
Once we stepped into the office, Uncle Isah and the principal exchanged handshakes, and I greeted him politely. We went through some paperwork before he guided me to my class (SS1). As I entered the classroom, I noticed a teacher. The teacher asked, "Are you the new student?" I answered, "Yes, I am." Then he said, "Introduce yourself to the class."
Turning to face my new classmates, I said, "Hello, my name is Iklas Muhammad. I'm 15 years old, and I'm really excited to be part of your class." The students responded with warmth, saying, "Nice to meet you too," while clapping. I just smiled back. The teacher then introduced himself, "I'm your mathematics teacher, and my name is Junaid. Welcome to the new class." I gratefully replied, "Thank you, sir."
Mr. Junaid guided me to a seat next to a pretty girl, and I asked her name as I sat down. She introduced herself as Hanan Abdullahh. I complimented her on her beautiful name, and she thanked me before we focused on the lesson.
As the period ended, I found myself dozing off, completely unaware that it was already break time. 15 minutes later, I woke up to an empty classroom! I quickly checked my watch and realized I had missed the break.
I hurriedly left the class in search of the cafeteria. While looking around, I accidentally bumped into someone so hard that it hurt. Ouch! When I looked up, I was stunned to see a very handsome guy with tall stature, captivating eyes, a sharp nose, and those pink lips – he was breathtaking! I got lost in his gaze but quickly averted my eyes when I noticed him checking me out.
He quizzically asked, "Done checking me out?" with a raised eyebrow. My face turned red with embarrassment, and I retorted, "Don't you have manners to apologize?" as he began to walk away. Suddenly, he turned back and asked, "Are you alright?" I was so flustered that I couldn't even respond, so I just left the spot feeling a bit overwhelmed. He was just too good looking, you know! 😜
As I walked away, Hanan caught up with me and mentioned that she didn't want to disturb my sleep earlier, which was why she left me in the classroom. I reassured her that it was okay. Then, Hanan introduced me to her friends, Amal and Ifty. We exchanged greetings, and I said, "Nice meeting you, Hanan, Amal, and Ifty." It's always nice to make new friends! 😄
