Alim's POV:
Ya Alim woke up to his sister's persistent calls. "Wake up, wake up!" she urged. Groggily, I responded, "Uhhm, what is it?" Realizing it was result collection day and already 9 o'clock, I hurried to the bathroom to freshen up.
I dressed in my brown kaftan, put on a black cap, and spritzed on some perfume before grabbing my phone and heading downstairs. "Bro, you look breathtaking," Hanan complimented. "Yeah, I know," I replied confidently.
Arriving at school, I spotted Iklas. "Wow, she looks beautiful in her black gown," I thought to myself. As she approached, she warmly hugged Hanan and greeted me. "How are you, Alim?" she asked. "I'm fine," I replied, and she just smiled at me.
Iklas is feeling anxious about the results, She confided in them, "She's very scared about the result because She think She will be the last person in the class." Hanan reassured her, "Shhhh, InshaAllah, we are not going to fail."
Iklas's POV:
Amal was showing off, and we found a place to sit down. We were busy gossiping about everything and nothing when Ifty showed up. We quickly stood up, hugged her, and said, "Iftyty, hey, don't spoil my name!" We burst out laughing together.
As the results were announced, the tension was high. "First position, Muhammad Yusif. Second, Hanan Abdullahh," the announcer said. Hanan couldn't believe it, "Oh my God, am I hearing right?" I reassured her, "You should go, mana, you are hearing right." Then came the moment, "Third position, Iklas Muhammad." I was shocked, "OMG, help me, am I really the one?" Hanan encouraged me, "Oya, go, you are the one, so go and collect it."
The positions continued, "Fourth position, Ifty Abubakar. Fifth position, Amal Jaafar." We collected our results happily and left the class.
And I saw students congratulating Alim, saying he got the first position every time,
I was mesmerized😍Afterward, we decided to have a little party at our house. "Yes, why not!" we all agreed. We quickly called my driver, and we hopped into the car. They both took their phones and dialed their parents' numbers to inform them about the celebration.
As we got home, we saw my mum all dressed up, ready to go to our aunty's house. My friends greeted her, and we all entered the house.
"Phew, I'm damn tired," I said as we entered my room. We both lay down on the bed to rest a little before getting up to pray.
"So, what are we going to do now?" I asked. "Let's go to the kitchen first," Amal suggested. As we entered, Ifty said, "What about shawarma?" "No, no, no, cake," Amal insisted. "Non, non, non, burger," Ifty countered. After many minutes of debating, we finally decided to bake a cake, make shawarma, and have chill zobo.
Just as we finished, we heard a knock on the door. "Are you expecting a visitor?" Hanan asked. "No, I don't think so," I replied. I quickly headed to the door and opened it.
"Khadijaaaaaaaa!" I screamed, hugging her tightly. "Hey, you have to let me breathe," she laughed as I let go. Amal, Hanan, and Ifty were scared, thinking something bad had happened, so they rushed to the door.
"Since you graduated from Islamiyya, you never set foot back there, koh?" I asked Khadija. "Yeah, I really hate the teachers, that's why," i explained. Khadija is my best friend from Islamiyya, so I introduced her to my besties, and to my surprise, they all got along really well.
After all the fun we had with eating, dancing, pillow fights, and chatting, their drivers arrived. Well, except for Hanan, Ya Alim was the one picking her up, and I was happy about that. We hugged each other and waved goodbye, saying, "See you in the second term, Insha'Allah." Then we went back inside and sat in the living room.
"Hanan asked me, 'Iklas, are you interested in someone or do you have a secret crush?'" I just laughed and replied, "Why would you ask me such questions? Isn't it obvious I'm not into anyone right now. Perhaps I'm too young to start dating; it won't last." Hanan just looked at me, smiled, and said, "Your brother Mus'ab is totally my type. Maybe I'm crushing on him?" I burst out laughing and said, "Let's finish high school first; you can have him after that." 😂 She laughed and said, "I'm just kidding, ooo."
Just then, Mus'ab showed up, saying, "Hello, ladies," as he sat down opposite me. "Mus'ab, please leave us alone," I said. "So, you want me to leave you alone?" he asked. "Yeah," I replied. Hanan if you don't mind "can I have ur number?without hesitation, Hana gave him her number, and he left the room.
"Awwwww, maybe he's already into you," I teased her. She just covered her face with her hand, saying, "Stop, Iklas! 🙈"
We continued chatting, and Ya Alim called Hanan, saying he was in the area but didn't know our house, so we quickly sauntered out to guide him.
"As we're about to reach our destination, we spot Ya Alim engrossed in his phone, a smile playing on his lips. Could it be a girl he's chatting with? I ponder to myself, feeling a twinge of jealousy creep in. But I quickly shake off the thought. Oh, and let me tell you, Ya Alim is looking absolutely breathtaking today! When we finally arrive, his scent leaves me at a loss for words, and I find myself gazing at him until he gently interrupts my thoughts, 'Hey, are you okay?' he asks. Caught off guard, I murmur, 'Oh, yeah, I'm fine.'
Hanan chuckles at our little interaction, adding to the moment. 'I'm gonna miss you, baeh,' Hanan says. 'Yeah, me too,' I reply. 'I'm gonna miss you, Alameen,' I whisper to myself. With a heavy heart, we part ways, exchanging hugs and goodbyes. 'See you next term!' Hanan calls out from the car, to which I respond, 'Insha'Allah!'"
