What I saw almost made me cry ya Allah how I missed him, he was even taller than before, handsome than before, everything than before, so I just stand there staring at him, and my eyes were about to cry but I send them back and give my billion dollar smile at him

Alim's POV:

I got back today, feeling exhausted. After being welcomed by my sweet mom, dad, and Hanan, ya Allah, how I missed them. Once I took a refreshing bath, I went downstairs and was greeted by the delightful aroma that filled the air. I missed my mom's cooking so much. We all sat at the dining table and enjoyed our lunch.

I laid down on the bed, ready to relax with my eyes closed, but Hanan barged into my room with a greeting, suggesting we visit Iklas. Yeah, I guess I really wanted to see her, but not today. She kept on pestering me until I agreed. Why did I feel the need to see her? Why did I sense her absence?

"Where are you off to?" my mom inquired. "To Iklas' house," I replied. "Why can't you wait till tomorrow? You just got back today," my mom said. "Oh, mom, I'm not tired at all. It's because of my little sis, that's why," I explained. My mom just smiled and said, "Alright, go ahead."

When we arrived at Iklas' house, Hanan called her out. When she emerged, oh my Allah, she looked even more beautiful than before. She was dressed in a black abaya with a black veil, a bit taller, and still slim. Why was I staring at her like that? I wondered.

I could see the surprise in her eyes as she approached us. She flashed me her billion-dollar smile before greeting us with "Assalamu Alaikum." I returned her smile before we exchanged greetings. Hanan then jokingly asked, "Where's Ya Mus'ab?" "So, you didn't come especially for me?" Iklas teased, pretending to be hurt. "Oh, haba Darling, you I come for you, write in clue ya mus'ab show off, hello he said as they shake hand with ya Alim, and exchange greetings.

Iklas pov

Ya Mus'ab excused himself with Hanan, who didn't leave without giving me a wink 😉. Ya Allah, I'm so going to tease that girl! Just then, I heard a message notification, so I checked it. It was Hanan saying that if I left him alone, who knows what mischief would follow! 😂😂

We spent more than 10 minutes in silence before he finally cleared his throat and asked about my house job at Aminu Kano Hospital. "How was it?" he inquired. "Hectic," I replied, "but it's worth it because even if we could turn back time, I'd still choose to be a doctor." "That's good, then," Doctor Iklas Alim said with a smile. I just smiled back and said, "I'm no longer the young Iklas; I'm a doctor now." He smiled again and added, "And the name suits you, Doctor Iklas."

I let out a dreamy sigh as I gazed at him. I swear, I love his smile. He looked up again, and our eyes locked. It felt like the world stopped for a moment as we kept staring at each other. Eventually, he broke the gaze and glanced at his phone, muttering something that I couldn't quite hear.

"Hanan and Ya Mus'ab were showing off, and after a few minutes, I stood up, observing both of them. Oh, Hanan, Ya Mus'ab said, "I'm planning to send my family tomorrow, but we are expecting a guest tomorrow, my father's friend." "Oh, even I have plans tomorrow, Hanan," I replied. It seems like all of us will be busy tomorrow.

With that, we bid them farewell, not forgetting to steal a quick glance at Ya Alim.

"Mumcy, yes, what is it?" My mum asked. "I was wondering about the name of Baba's friend. I believe it was Alhaji Abdullahh. They met 5 years ago during their business dealings, and ever since that day, your father has been talking about him," my mum said. "Alhaji Abdullahh, what if he's Hanan's father? Let's wait and see," I remarked."

Alim POV

When we got home, I went into my room, lay down on the bed, and started thinking about what happened between Iklas and me. Why did I stare at her like that? And why did I mutter under my breath that she's beautiful? My phone started ringing, and I hissed before answering because it was an unknown number.
