A few boring classes passed by, then the bell rang. Finally it was time for lunch. As I trudged to the cafeteria, I passed Peter.

"(Y/n)! Hey!" He called out to me. I turned and saw him standing next to another boy by the lockers. He waved me over.

"Hey Peter," I said.

"Hey. This is my friend Ned," He said, "Ned this is (Y/n). she just moved here."

"Nice to meet you." Ned stuck his hand out. I took his hand and shook it.

"The pleasure is mine," I replied. I don't know why. That seemed a little formal for the scenario.

"So where are you from?" Ned asked as the three of us walked to the cafeteria.

"Virginia."

"Oh cool. I've never been. What's it like there?" Ned asked.

"The weather is very indecisive."

"How so?" Peter asked.

"Well one day it can be snowing and then a few days later it is 80 degrees. It's sometimes colder in spring than in winter."

"Wow," Peter replied.

"Yeah. I lived in a very urban and touristic city. It's kind of like New York but a lot less aggressive and a little more suburban. That doesn't make much sense, you get the point, right?"

"I think so." Peter said.

Peter, Ned, and I sat down at an empty table. Peter and Ned sat across from me.

Some friendly chatter between the three of us is interrupted when Ned spots a girl walking towards us.

"Uh oh. Here comes Lucy Harbouro (if that's your name her name is Jamie Smerthen),"

A girl with dark brown hair tied in a tight high ponytail sat down next to me.

"Hi, I'm Lucy. You're new right?" I nodded my head.

"What do you want Lucy?" Peter asked. Lucy turned to face him.

"I'm just making friends, Parker. Don't be so rude." She turned back towards me. "So what's your name?"

"(Y/n)"

"Well, (Y/n), I want to make you an offer."

"What kind of offer?" I questioned.

"I can make you one of the most popular girls in the school. All you have to do is come sit with my friends and I over at that table." She pointed to a table filled with similar looking girls.

"Um, well-" I started to reply before Lucy cut me off.

"Before you answer, Let me tell you what else we can do for you. We can get you any boyfriend or girlfriend in the entire school, as long as it is not one of ours of course. You'll be surrounded with friends. And to top it all off, you'll be invited to the wildest parties." She stated

"Why do you want me?" I asked.

"You're very pretty and it would be a shame if that beauty got you nowhere. I want to help you utilize your natural looks. I think you'd have a great time with us. Also we could use a girl with  (h/c) hair, (e/c) eyes, and your skin tone."

"As tempting as that all is," I looked at Peter and Ned and smiled. "I'll have to pass." What a sappy thing to say, I thought.

"Are you sure?" she asked with begging eyes.

"She said no, Lucy," Peter answered.

"You know Peter, you're like in the top 20 guys in the school. You could be one of us too. Just ditched Nelson." Lucy replied.

"His name is Ned, and I'm not going to do that."

Lucy rolled her eyes. "whatever. If either of you change your mind, you know where to find me."

Lucy stood up and put her hand on my shoulder. "See you around (Y/n)" Lucy then walked away.

"Wow, Are you okay Ned?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm kind of used to it." Ned shrugged

"That's awful."

The bell rang and Peter said goodbye to Ned. Peter and I scurried to the same classroom. As we walked, I thought about what Lucy had said. I decided to take her up on her offer after my mission.
