Peter Parker's Point of View

I glanced down at my phone and saw a text message from Mr. Stark.

I quickly unlocked my phone and read the message.

Meeting at the tower in 30 minutes. We need to talk about a new threat. - Mr. Stark

I let a sigh slip out.

"Everything okay, Peter?" (Y/n) asked.

"Huh? Oh! uh, yeah. Just a text about something from work. Don't worry about it." I responded.

Mr. Stark I'm a little busy at the moment.  I texted back.

Doing what? Homework? Don't sweat it kid. I'll have Jarvis send you the answers. Everyone will be there right? - Mr. Stark

I'm at home with my kids and Laura out of town. Unless you want them crashing our meeting, then I will not be in attendance. - Clint

Mr. Stark, I'm not doing homework. I'm with a friend, I can't just leave her. I replied to the group chat.

Her? Oooo does someone have a girlfriend? What's her name? - Natasha

Suddenly I hear the car turn off. "Alright, well you two have fun. I'll pick you up around 9, okay?" Aunt May said.

"Wait, I thought you were coming too." I stated.

"Did I forget to tell you I have to babysit the Mrs. Lianston's kids? I'm sorry." Aunt May replied.

"Oh, okay. 9 sounds fine." I answered.

(Y/n) and I head inside the ice rink place. I put on my ice skating shoes much faster than her. I check my phone which has been dinging like crazy.

Peter, she's a liability. Be careful. - Mr. Stark

He's just a kid Tony leave him alone - Mr. America

Liability or not I still want all the details, Peter. Why haven't you told me about her? I thought we were friends. - Natasha

Peter, where are you right now? - Mr. Stark

I'm at Iced memories and she's just a friend. I texted.

I'm on my way to create a diversion. Stay there - Mr. Stark.

I started to panic. What kind of diversion was he planing?

"Are you sure everything is okay?" (Y/n) questioned.

"To be honest, I don't know. I need to make a phone call. I'll be right back." I responded.

I stepped outside and hid around the corner. I checked my surroundings before I called Mr. Stark.

"Is everything alright, Peter?" Mr. Stark asked as soon as he answered the phone.

"No, everything is not alright! What are you about to do?" I asked.

"Create a diversion at Iced Memories. Didn't you get my last text?" He replied.

"No, I mean what kind of diversion?"

"I'm going to show up and tell her that you need to come with me. It's work related. Did you tell your friend that you're my intern?"

"I did."

"Look, this meeting will only take a little bit. I'll drop you back off with enough time to finish your date" He said.

"We're not on a date!"

"What's her name?" He ignored my statement.

"(Y/n)."

"Tell (Y/n) that there's an emergency and I need you for a bit."

"Mr. Stark, is this meeting really that important."

"Yes." Mr. Stark ended the phone call and I went back inside to find (Y/n).

She was talking to a boy with curly blond hair and glasses.

"Hey, (Y/n)! Who's this?" I asked her.

"Oh, hey Peter. This is Louis, he's in my French class."

"Hello" Louis said.

"Hey man, can I borrow (Y/n) for a second?" I asked him.

"Of course. See you around, (Y/n)." Louis left.

"I'm so sorry to do this to you but Mr. Stark says there's an emergency and he really needs me. So, I have to go. I wouldn't leave if it wasn't an emergency." I told her.

"That's fine. I totally get it." She said with a smile.

"You do?" I asked.

"Yeah, it's your job. I don't want to get in the way of your job." She answered.

I squeezed her into a tight hug.

"You're the best, you know that?" I responded.

"I try to be."

A crowd formed around the door and slowly moved towards us.

"Mr. Stark can I have your autograph?"

"Mr. Stark! Mr. Stark! What are you doing here?"

"Can I get a picture with you?"

"Please back away. I'm only here to talk to my assistant. Back away!" My. Stark said.

He spotted us as the crowd dispersed.

"Peter!" He said, "I need you to come to the office with me."

Mr. Stark turned to (Y/n). "Is she one of your friends, Peter?" He asked.

"Yes."

"What's your name kid?" Mr. Stark asked (Y/n).

"(Y/n)" she answered.

"Mr. Stark, can we take (Y/n) home? I'd hate to leave her here by herself when I'm her ride." I asked.

"Oh, no. It's fine, Peter. I was planning on staying here for a bit." She said.

 "Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'll just hang out with Louis for a bit." She shrugged.

"I promise I won't keep him for too long." Mr. Stark said as he placed a hand on my shoulder.

"I'll text you when I'm on my way back." I told (Y/n).

"Sounds like a plan. Now go do your job."

Mr. Stark and I sat in the back seat of his car as Happy drove us to the tower.

"She seems nice," Mr. Stark said to break the silence, "And she doesn't know?"

"About Spiderman? No, she doesn't."I replied.

"Good. Keep it that way. The less she knows the better." Happy pipped up.

"Can I give you some advice, kid?" Mr. Stark said, "Don't get to close to her. I can tell you really like her and the only way all of this doesn't end in heart break is to keep her at a distance."

"We're just friends, Mr. Stark." I replied.

"Okay, sure. But still keep her at a distance." He stated.
