Peter's Point of view.

She was so beautiful. Is it so wrong that I want to kiss her? I mean I don't even know her name but I'm in love with her.

In the moment I took off my mask to get a better look at her.

I stared into her (e/c) eyes and held her close to me. She smelt like my favorite dreams.

"Hi there," I said. She was so close to me I could feel her breathing. She took my breath away.

She rolled her eyes. I melted.

"In an actual real fight. I would win. Just saying," she replied.

"Oh, sure..." I said in a mocking tone.

But deep down I knew she could put my ass in the ground any time any where. She was a little scary, but I know she would never do anything to hurt me.

Nor would I to her.

But my feelings are insane. I dont know this girl. Well I guess I do know her but I don't at the same time.

Would my feelings change if I knew who she is? What if in daily life we hate eachother?

What if I still love her?

Nothing can happen between us. That could complicate everything.

Or could it make everything easier?

Could our bond become stronger and therefore our team become stronger?

What if we break up? Would we still work together?

I got lost in thought when she started giggling.

I raised an eyebrow and felt something weird on my head.

I reached up and felt petals. We pulled away from eachother.

I pulled out my phone and used the camera to see what was on me.

Poppy grew flowers in my hair.

I secretly snapped a few pictures because I thought the gesture was really cute. I'd want to remember this forever.

"You're only laughing because you're jealous of how good I look," I said.

"Well I cant deny that..." she replied.

I melted against her words.

Just then I heard a car nearby.

"Shh. Get down." She said. She must have heard it too.

I slipped on my mask and crouched down. I peered over the ledge to see what was happening.

A few moments later a car pulled up outside of the warehouse across from the building we were on top of.

A man stepped out of the car and walked to the doors.

"That's him," I whispered, "that's the guy causing the wrecks."

The door opened and three other guys stepped outside.

We were out of earshot.

"Karen, activate enhanced listening."

"Would you like me to enhance Poppy's listening too?" Karen asked.

"Wait you can do that?" I asked her.

"Of course. She has a system similar to yours. With her permission I can enhance her listening as well." Karen replied.

"Do it."

I heard Poppy confirm the request.

"... the boss wants to know how many names you've crossed off the list." One of the men said.

"Three." Another one answered.

"He's not going to be happy." The first one responded

"Tell him I have something big planned to get a bunch done at once."

Poppy and I looked at each other with concerned expressions.

I shifted my weight slightly but a rock that laid on the edge of the ledge was knocked over.

It fell to the ground with a loud clang as it landed on top of a metal dumpster.

"What was that?" One of the men asked.

"All teams respond. Someone's here," A different one said.

"Found them" said a muffled voice.

Within mere seconds a gunshot rang out.

She quickly put us under a dome of vines as bullets showered us.

A noise escaped from Poppy. I turned my attention to her.

She fell backwards and red started to pool around her abdomen.
