Peter's Point of View

Mr. Stark didn't let me stay with Poppy and instead forced me to go to school.

I was so worried about Poppy all morning that I didnt pay any attention to my classes.

I was so worried I didnt notice when Ned sat down in front of me at lunch.

"Hey Peter!"

"Peter?"

"Peter."

"Earth to Peter..." Ned waved his hand in front of my face.

"Peter!"

"Hm?" I finally realized someone was talking to me and responded.

"Oh good. I thought maybe Aliens had replaced you with a robot or something," he said.

"No. Sorry... I'm just thinking about something," I replied.

Ned lowered his voice.

"Something S-man related?" He asked.

I raised an eyebrow and matched his volume.

"S-man?"

"Spider man" Ned mouthed.

"Oh yeah I guess it is," I laughed.

"Is it the article about him and The Florist? Speaking of which, is it true?" Ned asked.

"What article? Is what true?"

"You dont know? Dude. It's been all over the news."

"I've been a little busy. What are you talking about?"

Just then the bell rang.

"Come to my place after school. We'll talk about it then," I told Ned

What could possibly be news worthy about us? There's no way they could know about Poppy getting hurt. We were at a warehouse in the woods outside of town. No one would be there in the middle of the night.

Throughout my afternoon classes I wanted to take out my phone to text Poppy but I couldnt risk getting caught. I'd have to stay after school for detention and I wouldnt be able to meet Ned at my house.

The second the bell rang at the end of school I rushed home. Along the way I pulled out my phone and texted Poppy.

Hey, How are you doing?

She didnt answer. I figured she must be asleep or something.

My nerves wouldnt be calmed until she texted back. In fact, texting her and waiting for a reply increased my nerves twofold.

Ned was waiting inside my apartment when I got there.

Before I could say anything, Ned spoke, "May let me in but then she left"

We walked to my room and closed the door.

"Okay," Ned started as soon as the door clicked shut, "I have to know, what is the Florist like?"

I let out a small laugh and sat on my bed.

"Well, her name is Poppy. She's funny and smart and strong and could definitely beat me in a fight," I started.

"That's so cool! Do you guys hang out?" He asked.

"Well Sort of. We're coworkers and friends. We don't hang out too much outside of work."

"So is it true?" Ned questioned.

"Is what true? You still haven't told me," I replied.

"Oh! Right!" Ned pulled his phone out of his book bag and typed on it a bit. He handed his phone to me and said, "this"
