(Addison's P.O.V.)
As I walked into Stark Tower, I could feel me nerves unraveling. My mother had told me that she had called and told Mr. Stark that she had given birth to his child a long time ago, but he never wanted to get back with her. I can't help but wonder why she would want me to go to the man who didn't even want anything to do with me. Inside the building, I can see the lobby and a man sitting at the front desk reading a newspaper. I step up to the desk, hoping to look sweet enough.
"Excuse me, I-um, am here to see Mr. Tony Stark?" I say to him.
The man barely glances at me before returning back to his newspaper. On the cover, it has a picture of a gorup called the Avengers. Strange. Anyways, I repeat myself but more clear.
"I'm here to see my father, Tony Stark." That gets his attention.
The man sets his newspaper down and gives me a squinted eye.
"Tony never said anything about having a kid, how in the hell do I know you're not just some crazed fan of the famous Iron Man?" The man says, confusing the hell out of me.
"What the hell is an Iron Man?" I shake my head, trying to think of a way to get past this idiot. "Just give Mr. Stark a name, alright? Tell him, Iris McKelly. I think he should understand."
The man looks me up and down before grabbing his little phone on his desk. He punches in some numbers and we wait for someone to answer on the other line. He nods for me to take a seat in the chairs on the other side of the room. I do as instructed. But as I walk away, someone answer on the other line.
"Hello Ton-Pepper? Where's Tony? Well, He's got some girl here and she claiming to be his kid. She said to give him her name. An Iris McKelly." He looks at me as I walk over to the chairs, "Alright, okay. I'll take care of it. Bye."
Once I sit down in my seat, the man stands up and motions for me to walk back over to his desk. Ugh! I stand back up and walk back over.
"Who do you work for?" The man says
"What?" I say confused
"What organization do you work for little lady? Are you trying to steal Mr. Starks weapons or any of his company's weapons?" The man says accusingly, which really pisses me off.
"Listen, Dumbass, all my mother told me was that I needed to go see my father, Tony Stark." The man squints his eyes at me, "So, unless there's another Tony Stark, I think I'm in the right spot. So, just let me see him."
"How long have you known Mr. Star-your father?" The man crosses his arms.
"I never met him. My mom said that she tried calling him after I was born but he never took anymore of her calls." I explain, "He wouldn't know me if he saw me."
"So, how am I supposed to just let you go upstairs and see Mr. Stark when you could be a terrorist?" I give him an annoyed stare.
"Do I look like I could really be a terrorist?"
The phone on his desk rings, he quickly answers it.
"Pepper? Yeah, what did you find? Alright, what did Jarvis find? Hold on, let me ask her." He looks at me, pushing the phone away from his mouth. "What was your mother's name?"
"Iris McKelly." I say annoyed.
"Iris McKelly," He looks at me again, pulling the phone away from his mouth. "And your name?"
"Addison Rain McKelly" I say more annoyed.
"Addison Rain McKelly." He says through the phone, "Yeah? Okay I'll let her know."
The man hangs up the phone, looking up at me smugly. He crosses his arms.
"Sorry, but Mr. Stark doesn't know any Iris McKelly or a Addison McKelly. Real nice story about your mom though, if it were real." The man says, pissing me off even more. "But I'm afraid you're going to have to leave now."
I give him a death glare and walk out. I will manage to somehow meet Mr. Stark, I have to. It could be life or death.
