(Reader's P.O.V.)
After Steve had managed to calm Addison down, they brought her to Stark Tower. Tony flew in from the roof top, walking in while his suit automatically come off. Pepper was waiting for him in the living room. She had heard that they found Stark's daughter and the super weapon. But what bothered Pepper more is that Tony would rather test the new super weapon than giving his own daughter a proper welcome. Tony swore when he was a young that he wouldn't have anything to do with kids, especially after Iris.
Steve walks up to Tony, his usual smile is now a straight line.
"I sure miss the days were I was the weirdest thing known to science." Steve turns and looks at the elevator door.
Natasha, Thor, and Clint are all guarding a young girl. She has fiery red hair, hazel eyes. Skin as pale as a ghost. Crybaby. Tony walks over and stops a few feet away from them, keeping his distance from the little creature. Suddenly, he sees Iris again. She didn't even age a second, which is disappointing on his part.
"Are you supposed to be in school?" Tony says with his arms crossed.
"Are you supposed to be in a meeting?" She fires back, her voice is even soft like Iris's. But this girl is no Iris.
"Unless I have a kid with super abilities, then no." He frowns, "I already have one kid, I don't need another."
"Are you Tony Stark?" She looks behind him, "Are you Tony?"
"No, actually he is." Bruce says from behind Tony.
The girl looks back at Tony, making his palms sweat. She's a spitting image of Iris. It terrifies the playboy to an extent.
"This is Addison McKelly, Tony. Your daughter." Natasha breaks the silence, getting annoyed at how no one is getting the bigger picture. "Your kid is the screamer."The Avengers all sit around and stare at Addison. Tony keeps his distance, mentally freaking out at the fact that this young girl may or may not be his. And if he does belong to him, even partly, only child has already destroyed part of New York. How did she even get mixed up with the Slavic doctor? What was she doing in Vancouver, Canada? Addison shifts on her seat, getting creeped out by how they all stare at her.
"Well, this is very comforting. A great warm welcome, too." Addison says sarcastically.
"So, run the story by me again." Tony says, scratching the back of his head.
Addison groans. "My mom told me that if I ever got into trouble or if she couldn't help me, to go to New York City to find my dad. She said his name was Tony Stark. That's all I know."
"Why didn't you come to him sooner?" Pepper says, curious.
"Mom said that after she told you about me, you never took anymore of her calls." All eyes fall on Tony.
He looks at them offended at their sudden judgment. He holds his hands up when Pepper starts to give him a dagger like glare, her brow arched.
"In my defense, I told Iris to get rid of it 19 years ago." He says, making Steve and Pepper's mouths go a gap.
"21 years ago," Addison corrects Tony.
"Tony, aren't you even ashamed?" Pepper says, hurt in her blue eyes.
"Do you even help any organization that doesn't benefit you financially? Or are you always this conceited?" Addison says annoyed, gripping onto her seat on the table. "So besides being a flying robot, whats under all that suit of armor? You're certainly no Prince Charming, as anyone can see."
"I'm a genius, billionaire, and a playboy philanthropist, kid." Tony answers, annoyed at Addison's mouth.
"A man with fancy words to match his apparent ego." Addison nods to herself, her eyes on Tony. "Not exactly how I pictured my father. Kind of disappointed at the moment."
Steve smirks at Addison, making her blush.
"Why have you now come, Lady Stark?" Thor says, making Addison roll her eyes. She is no Stark, she is a McKelly.
"Because, William Shakespeare's Junior, I need someone to get me to a doctor." Addison says to Thor, who doesn't understand her insult.
"Let me guess Screamer, you're knocked up?" Clint says smugly, making Natasha smirk.
"I keep getting these terrible headaches and and the urge to scream. And what was the bubble thing that stopped your laser beams?" Addison looks between the team, "What the hell is going on with me?"
"Well, Advil will help with the headaches." The sarcasm in Bruce's voice.
Natasha cracks a small smile at his humorous answer.
"Why is all this happening to me?" Addison says, a tear rolling down her cheek.
"You have super abilities." Steve says, "Like some of us."
"The doctor who had you held captive in Vancouver, he used serums to give you a shield like ability and a sonic scream." Natasha explains
"Yeah and it's totally fine by me if you don't scream anymore." Tony adds, making Natasha let out a small laugh.
"You don't understand what it feels like to have no control over your powers. I can't control mine." Addison sniffs, rocking back and forth slightly.
Bruce stares at the young girl, understanding her words. He knows what it feels like to have no control over himself. He was lost and broken for a long time, before he learned how to channel his anger.
Clint looks between the team. "Well, Crybaby has a name. Addison Stark."
"That's enough, Clint." Steve snaps, seeing Addison wince at the nickname.
"We need to keep her on watch," Tony says suddenly "just until tomorrow morning. Until we get all the results back. If you're really my kid."
Tony had Addison draw blood to test and see if she was in fact his kid.
"I'll take the first watch," Clint says, "make sure the little Crybaby won't go running around screaming bloody murder."
"I'll keep you company." Natasha says, her words empty.
Pepper stands and guides Addison to her new room that is down the hall from Tony's room. Steve looks at Tony, who watches the young girl as she goes.
"What are you going to do, Tony?" Steve says.
"I-I don't know,"
