Chapter 34: READY. AIM. FIRE!

(Reader's P.O.V.)

"Tony!" Pepper exclaims, mouth gapped at Tony.
Steve and Addison stand up, automatically moving away from each other. Tony starts twitching, huffing.
"Daddy, listen to me." Addison says calmly
Steve pulls the short redhead behind him.
"STEVE GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF OF MY DAUGHTER!" Tony hollers angrily, pointing at Steve.
Steve puts his hands up in defense, remembering he left his shield downstairs. Tony walks up to Steve, punching him in the face. A cracking sound makes Addison and Pepper flinch at the sound, Tony shakes his hand as it throbs. Steve's solid. Addison starts to intervene when Pepper grabs her and rushes to the living room.
"Tony-" Steve says cautiously, holding his bloody nose.
Tony holds out his hand, his bean pod in his hand. Steve rushes out of the room, nearly knocked out by Tony's suit of armor flying past him. The super solider jumps down two flights of stairs into a coffee table made completely out of glass as beams burst through walls. Addison and Pepper scream as dust and laser beams fly everywhere, Bruce urges them back. Natasha and Clint stay on guard in case they have to stop Tony from blasting Steve. Addison sees Steve's shield and looks back at the super solider, rushing over to grab the shield.
Tony charges in as Steve stands to his feet, his hand laser beam glowing brightly. Steve wipes the blood from his nose, wincing. He can feel the glass in his skin, making it hurt to move.
"Steve, catch!" Addison shouts.
Steve turns just in time to catch his shield, making the impact painful. He puts it in front of him as Tony walks closer to him.
"How could you? How you, of all people Cap, do this to me? To Addison?!" Tony exclaims angrily.
"Tony, you're being irrational!" Steve shouts, "She's 21!"
"Yeah, Rogers-" Tony growls, "and she's also my only daughter."
Tony's laser beam shoots at Steve, who shields himself. He goes flying backwards as does Tony. They both rise, getting angry by the minute. Steve cautiously walks around, making his way to the elevator. Tony swoops in and grabs him, throwing him into the metal railing on the staircase. Addison lets out a yelp at the sight of the two most important men in her life fighting. Tony punches Steve, which cause him to fall backwards into the furniture. Blood bushes out of his nose and cuts.
"Damn it, Rogers! Those cost me 89 grand!" Tony shouts.
"Daddy, stop it! Please!" Addison cries out, "I love him!"
"How long?" Tony says, another beam ready to be fired.
"How long what?" Steve says gruffly
"How long have you been lying to me, huh?" The beam in Tony's hand lights up, "Since day effing one?"
The beam fires at Steve, who manages to swiftly duck to the floor.
"Tony, you don't under-" Steve starts.
"No, I understand completely Grandpa." Tony snaps, "You saw how vulnerable she is and decided to move in on her!"
"Daddy, stop it!" Addison cries out, tears running down her face.
"Tony, think about this man!" Bruce shouts
Tony shakes his head, letting another beam go. Steve dodges it and lands behind the bar. Tony marches over.
"I've thought it and I say we push the Grandpa down the stairs." Tony says snarkily, "Life alert can't save you then, Cap!"
"Tony, give it up!" Natasha says calmly, her gun raised.
"It's not worth the fight, Stark." Clint says, "It'll only make things worse."
"How could you Steve? How could you?" Tony shouts, pain in his words.
"I care for her, Tony." Steve holds the shield close to him, "From the start."
"Daddy, he's my boyfriend! Stop it!" Addison's voice makes the room slightly quake. "If you kill him, I'll never forgive you!"
"Tony, don't!" Pepper shouts, feeling the quakes. "You're putting us in danger! You're putting Addison in danger!"
"You're dating my daughter? Do you realize how disgusting that is?!" Tony exclaims angrily. "She's a little girl and you're-"
"She's a woman, Tony." Steve ducks a beam, the alcohol bottles breaking all around him. "And I'm a man."
"A. Very. Old. Man." Tony says through gritted teeth.
Tony grabs Steve and punches him, Steve fights back, shoving him back into the living room furniture. Addison starts to run after them when Bruce grabs her by her arm, shaking his head at her. Tony was going to fight Steve, somebody was going to have to get hurt.
"It could be worse." Steve tries to calm Tony down, "I'm not going to hurt her, Tony!"
"Say that to the hole you left in my ceiling, Rogers." Tony says unforgivably.
Tony's laser beam soars towards Steve. Steve jumps over the couch, shield in front of him, and he goes to duck the beam, but he's too weak. The beam hits the shield and bounces back at Tony's suit. They both go flying backwards. Addison sonic screams out as the room becomes covered in dust. Tony stands and makes his way over to Steve, whose up against the wall with his shield laid down beside him. The super solider doesn't even reach for the shield, just waits for Tony to blow one last blast.
"Daddy, no! I won't date him anymore!" Addison's voice breaks.
Steve shakes his head at Tony. "Tony, you won't kill me."
"Oh really, Capsicle? READY. AIM. FIRE!"
