Nitara was lying on her bed, on her stomach, scrolling through her instagram feed. The cardboad boxes all unpacked. She rolled over, looking at the ceiling, thinking about the reason why she had to move away from the place that she has known as a home since she can remember.

Nitara was never a girl to be lonely. She was lively, she had the power to light up the entire room. She had a really positive aura around her, a dimpled smile always on her face.

Ever since she was a little girl she dreamt about that one person who would be her entire world, who would love and cherish her as his most prized possession, who would fill the lonely void that was caused by her parents' death.

Her mate.

Nitara Aryana was the daughter of the beta of Crescent Moon Pack Jason Collins and his beta female Neera. She was the only child and was spoilt rotten with love from everyone that came in contact with the little energetic wolf.

When she was just 12, the pack was under rogue attack. Her dad lost his life protecting a family, her mother couldn't cope with the death of her mate and left the world behind to be reconciled with her mate on the other side.

However, Nitara was not alone. Alpha David Crescent was a very kind man and after the death of both his beta and female beta, he took their daughter under his wings.

Alpha Crescent had two sons and always wanted a daughter who would call him dad. Nitara was fulfillment of his desire. Everyone in their family was ecstatic with the new addition to the family.

Luna Ethna did everything she could to ease Nitara's pain. Hudson 22, and Oliver 19 were the perfect older brothers for her. They were always kind and sweet in front of her, but always scared everyone behind her back, so that nobody would hurt her in anyway.

She always knew though.

The memory of those two goofballs brought a loving dimpled smile on her face. She missed being with them. But she could no longer stay there so she moved away.

When she thought about the reason why she had to leave a lone tear escaped her eyes and her chest stung a little bit. She told herself like all those times before that everything was gonna be alright.

Despite all the efforts her thought went back to the unfortunateday.

She met her mate a week after she turned 16. Instead of getting her fairytale, she got heartache for a lifetime.

The painful memories still left a sting. Atleast the pain in her chest and stomach was much less because she has finally started accepting the rejection.

Even if that all happened two years ago the sight was imprinted in her mind. She was walking into the pack house, the warriors have returned after six months of training so she was going there to help the ladies to prepare the meals for the feast that was going to happen that night.

The pack house was filled with scents as there were 265 werewolves who lived in the pack house, but still one scent stood out the most. It was the smell of damp forest with something masculine.

Her wolf started becoming agitated.

She was also feeling slight ache in her chest, but ignored it and started following the scent. She got in front of a door on the second floor of the pack house. From inside she could smell her mate as well as smell of cheap perfume.

She was hesitant in opening the door. Then she heard something that wrecked her nerves even more. Was that a moan?

And by no means it was a masculine moan.

'What is mate doing?' She asked her wolf.

'Just open the damn door already.' Lena, her wolf replied.

Nervously she brought down the handle and pushed open the door.

Her eyes went to the size of saucers as she watched her mate unhooking a bra and pulling it away from Shelby's body.

Shelby was a beautiful girl, there was no denying in that, her long black hair fell down to her mid back, her blue eyes mesmerizing, her slick figure, everything about her screamed perfection.

A gasp left Nitara, it was then the other two took notice of her. Her mate, a pack warrior by the name of Liam Johannam, took one glance at her and was back in Shelby's neck and spoke from there:

"I, Liam Johannam, warrior of the Crescent Moon Pack reject you.."

At not being able to recognise the girl looked at her again and asked, "What's your name?"

"Nitara Aryana", she wispered.

She was too dumfounded by the fact that this person who, was supposed to love her unconditionally, was here about to sleep with someone else and is going to reject her in front of her.

Shelby was just watching it all go down with a slight smirk, not even caring to cover her chest.

"Oh! Alright then. I, Liam Johannam, warrior of Crescent Moon Pack reject you Nitara Aryana as my mate."

Oh! The heartache.

Lena was howling in agony in her brain, but Nitara didn't let a single tear fall from her eyes. She started backing out when she was interrupted:

"And darling close the door on your way out, please. We dont want anymore interruptions."

Shelby told her with a more prominent smirk on her face now.

Nitara shut the door and walked down the hallway. She didnt even reached the stairs when her stomach exploded with immense pain, that was giving a tough competition to the pain in her chest. Her whole body seem to be ripped apart.

After 5 minutes the pain stopped.

'Wow, he sure is a great performer if he lasted just 5 minutes.' Lena said to her in her head.

Even through the tears she laughed at what her wolf said. She knew Lena was just trying to lift her spirits. She honestly has the best wolf.

'Come on now, we are not going to just sit in the hallway. We came to help prepare the meals and we will be doing just that.' Nitara told her wolf putting up a happy front.

With that they walked to the pack kitchen.

And just like thinking about that day she drifted off in deep slumber.
