Nitara halted in her steps and looked towards the ceiling. She was trying her best not to retort back to her comment. Her sassy side begging her to let out. She didn't wanted to cause trouble on her very first day in this pack.
She closed her eyes in defeat and let her sassy side win, leaving Tracey sniggering and all the barbie like creatures with their jaws on the floor.
"Atleast I am not strutting around half naked."
With that Nitara left the kitchen, Tracey following behind supressing her laughter. As soon as they were out of the main door of the pack house Tracey hunched over with laughter.
Minutes passed and her laughter turned into sniggers and they resumed walking, going nowhere in particular. Nitara was observing her surroundings with slight grin on her face.
"Oh my god! That was absolutely hilarious. I have never seen their faces like that."
But then abruptly her face became sombre, losing all traces of humor.
"Oh god! What just happened? You shouldn't have said that. Do you know who that was? She would make your life living hell now."
Nitara just scoffed.
"I am serious, Nitara. That was Tasha and her barbie crew. They are the queen bees of this pack. She made my life hell when I once told her that her shoes were weird."
Nitara just chuckled, "See, i am not afraid of people like her. She can try all she want, for all i care."
"God, I didn't took you to be stupid. Tasha is the future Luna of this pack, that is why nobody messes with her." Tracey tried to explain the situation.
Nitara stopped and stared ahead looking at nothing in particular and spoke:
"Future Luna or not she has no right to walk all over someone else, especially not me. I was never taught to let anyone put me down and i sure as hell won't let that barbie figure do that to me."
After finishing her sentence she looked towards Tracey who was looking at her with awe written all over her face.
Just as she opened her mouth to speak a guy swatted at the back of her head. Nitara looked at the guy and knew exactly who he was.
Shane Evans was 6ft tall, but with the same red head as his sister and the vivid blue eyes. He didn't had as many freckles on his face but still if she didn't knew that they were 4 years apart in age, she would have thought they were twins.
"Hey loser!" her brother greeted her draping his hand on Tracey's shoulder.
Then his eyes went to Nitara.
"Well hello there darling."
Then he looked back to his sister, "Tracey who is this friend of yours?"
"Wouldn't you wanna know?" she replied sarcastically.
"This is Nitara, she is new to the pack and arrived just yesterday evening."
Shane's mouth formed an 'o' as he remembered what he had heard about the new member of the pack and here she was standing in front of him. Now he can attest to the rumours that she was definitely gorgeous.
He offered her his hand for a shake and introduced himself with a slight smirk and a faint glint in his eyes.
"Name is Shane."
Nitara took his hand and gave a gentle shake and retreated her hand after giving him a shy smile.
"Have you come here alone?" Shane, now started asking the questions.
"Yeah."
"Why?"
"I just needed a change."
"What about your parents?"
"Umm.. they died in a rogue attack when i was 12."
"Oh! I am sorry."
"Nah! Don't be. My Alpha took me in. I never missed the love of a family."
"That's great. Anyway, Tracey, dad was looking for you. We should go."
"Oh..! Yeah, Nitara we are going fishing to a nearby river. We go there every sunday. Would you like to join us?"
"Ahh! No, maybe Next sunday."
"Oh, come on" both the siblings said at the same time. It was almost comical.
"Really, I promise next sunday. Today i just want to wander around and scope the pack territory, please."
Nitara made that adorable puppy face, that she knew nobody can resist.
"Fine! But you are coming with us next sunday. No excuse." Tracey told her sternly.
"I promise" Nitara replied smiling ear to ear, showing off both her dimples.
"You are lucky, you're cute." Tracey sulked.
With that both the siblings took off and Nitara carried on her expedition. She passed a two story building, that would be Alpha's house, she thought.
She saw the warriors working out in the training grounds, pups playing in the park with their mothers looking over. She stood there for a while and looked over to the little pups playing.
She continued into the forest.
Walking around, becoming familiar with the trees, she continued. Forest gave her a sense of belonging that any other place.
When she was just a pup she would stay in the forest with Hudson and Oliver all day running around playing hide and seek. She loved climbing treed to the highest and looking around.
There was just some connection. May be it was the werewolf in her.
Lena purred at the thought.
She came across a clearing and entered. She couldn't believe her eyes. This place was heaven on earth.
There was a little waterfall and behind it she could see was a cave probably. The water fell in a little lake. The water looked so pure and blue.
The surrounding were just as beautiful. Flowers of different colors scattered around.
Nitara couldn't stop herself. She took off her clothes and eased into the lake. It was as if the the lake water had some kind of magic. Her body relaxed and she started swimming in circles.
Lena was purring and howling in joy too in her head.
She swam towards the back of the waterfall and she was right. There it was a cave. It wasn't really a big cave.
But what surprised her the most was there were a few candles and matchboxes accompanied by a blanket and pillow.
'So somebody else knew about this majestic place.' She thought.
'But they are not here right now, so dont think about that and enjoy.' Lena replied.
Nitara pondered a bit and decided Lena was right and went out of the cave for swimming a bit more.
She was so lost in swimming that she didn't even notice the footstep approaching until a raspy voice was heard:
"Who are you?"
