Karlie's POV

"Everything's down in the car, are we almost ready to go?" I walk up behind Taylor, wrapping my arms gently around her from the back. "Jellybean had a bit of a meltdown when she had to go into her car seat, she's like her sister that way, but we're okay now aren't we Tilly." She smiles as she looks down at the baby whose now sleeping in her carseat as her brother lies awake in his. "Are you guys ready to go home?" I laugh as Taylor leans back into me.

We finally got the all clear last night, Taylor's recovering well and even despite their early appearance the twins are perfect. That means we're finally getting to go home and Taylor is beyond excited to see Maisie. "Hello?" There's a knock on the door and our attention is drawn away from the twins, "I wanted to come by before you left," Addison smiles as she walks into the room, she's been so amazing with everything the past few days. "We're just about to go, we wanna get these two home so we can try and get back into a normal routine, god knows Maisie's has been thrown totally out of order." Taylor sighs as I take her hand, running my thumb gently over her knuckles.

"Well I just wanted to say good luck and remember that it is going to be tough at first but you'll get there so don't get defeated." She smiles as she pulls Taylor into a soft hug. "You two are amazing moms, and I think this is an amazing feat you've pulled off. Not many people could handle what you two have had to, but you always handle it with grace." I share a brief hug with her too as she smiles at us, "I'll see you in a week to check on the twins and make sure you're recovering appropriately, but if you have any questions or worries you can contact myself or Doctor Robbins."

Taylor nods as I squeeze her hand, "thank you for everything, we really appreciate it." I smile and there's a bit of brief small talk and more goodbyes before she has to go and check on other patients. "Are we ready?" I grin as I wrap Taylor in my arms and she nods as she bites her lip, we're both so excited but so nervous because it's the first time we're going to be on our own 24/7 with two little newborns.

It's great timing as Ian comes back into the room, so as Taylor sits in the wheelchair I double check that the twins are strapped in properly and I tuck their blankets around them before slipping Tilly's pacifier back into her mouth and she starts sucking on it again as she sleeps. I throw their diaper bag over my shoulder as I pick up the two car seats. Ian pushes Taylor in the wheelchair as we leave the room, and I've already signed the discharge papers for all three so we make our way straight to the elevator.

I sit the babies down as I open the car door, fitting Theo's car seat in on the left side before going to the right to fit Tilly's into the middle. Ian helps as we attempt to get Tay painlessly into the car but that's harder than it seems. "Sorry babe," I sigh as I frown and she shakes her head, "it was inevitable, I'm fine." I nod and close her door before getting in my own side and Ian goes back to the waiting SUV to follow us home. "Are you okay back there?" I turn to check on Taylor before pulling out of the parking spot. She smiles blissfully as she stares at Tilly who's right beside her. "I have my pillows and my babies so I'm just fine." She beams and I nod, taking that as an okay to go.

Taylor's POV

"Have you got him?" Karlie's worried as she watches me lifting Theo's carseat off of the ground, hooking it over my arm. "I've got him, I'm okay." I smile as she lifts Tilly out of the car. It doesn't hurt as much to walk anymore, my body is starting to recover but I'm still sore. I hook the diaper bag over my shoulder as Karlie grabs the baby bag and nursing pillow. Ian has already taken our bags up to the house since they were in the other car, so we only have the babies and their stuff to carry. I walk slower than Karlie so she walks behind me as I make my way up the driveway, taking small steps so that I don't cause myself too much pain.
