Karlie's POV

Once the twins were checked over by Dr Robbins, our pediatrician, Taylor was moved to the recovery floor. I finally managed to convince her to get some rest and she slept for a couple of hours after trying to feed the twins for the first time. Baby girl took to it straight away but Baby boy took a little longer to get used to it. Andrea and Scott went home with Austin a little while ago, telling us they'd come back during visiting hours to meet the twins. I haven't told Taylor yet because I want her to enjoy this moment for as long as possible, but Austin was leaving to go to court. I know Taylor would want to be there but that is definitely not happening, and anyway the verdict comes back today.

We've had nurses and doctors in and out since her parents left, but for the first time Taylor and I are alone and neither of us can stop staring at our two little angels. "What are we going to call them?" She looks away from baby girl's face momentarily to glance at me and I smile. "I picked names out before and if you hate them we can use something else, but I think they're going to fit them perfectly." I smile and Taylor nods and urges me to keep going. "For this little one I chose Theodore or Theo because it was my grandfathers name and it means God-given gift and that's exactly what he is being the little surprise he was," She smiles as she nods, "Theodore, I like that. What about her?" She looks at the baby in her arms and I smile, "Matilda, or Tilly for short. But I thought it would be perfect because it means strength and the one thing I hope she inherits from her mommy is your incredible strength." She meets my eyes, "that's beautiful, it's kinda quirky but refined." She smiles and I wrap my free arm around her.

"I thought that since I got to choose their names, you should choose their middle names, just to make it fair." I laugh softly as Theo wraps his little hand around my finger and I grin as I stare down at him. I can't believe Taylor really created two little humans so perfect. "Well, I like the idea of carrying on the Kingsley tradition from my dad and brother, and it keeps the K theme that your family seem to have going on." I smile as I stroke his tiny fingers, Theodore Kingsley, I like that. "What do you think of giving her my grandmother's name as her middle name? Maisie has my mom's name and your middle name which means she has your mom's middle name and your grandmother's name, I like the idea of keeping tradition." She smiles at the baby, "she's the reason I got into music and she means the world to me, her name is Marjorie but everyone called her Rorie." I nod, a small smile playing on my lips, "Rory was my second choice for her first name." Taylor laughs and we're in agreement.

"What about their last name? What do we use?" She looks at me and this is the one thing I haven't actually thought about. "Well Swift would give them huge opportunities in life." I readjust the baby in my arms as she laughs, "so would Kloss." I shrug, "well what if we hyphenate?" The suggestion seems like a reasonable one. "Theodore Kingsley Swift-Kloss." Taylor laughs as she looks at our son in my arms. "It's a mouthful for sure, but they'll be the only Swift-Klosses in the world." I nod and I think we're in agreement.

"What time is it?" She asks and I press the button on my phone to check. "It's nearly two thirty, babe." I smile and she nods, "Abigail said they'd come in at three." It feels like an eternity has passed since we've seen Maisie and Taylor's beyond excited to hold her baby again.

"Hey there." Addison knocks before walking into the room and Taylor gives her a warm smile as she approaches the bed. "I wanted to pop by and see how everyone's doing before heading home." She smiles as she stands by the side of the bed, peering over Taylor's shoulder to take a look at the two little ones. "We're doing okay, we're having some problems with nursing but I'm sure we'll get the hang of it eventually and other than that we're totally in love." She lets out a breathy laugh, barely taking her eyes off of the sleeping babies as she speaks. "And have you been getting some rest? A nurse could take them to the nursery and let you two get some sleep." The woman makes the suggestion and Taylor shakes her head. "We're taking shifts sleeping until after Maisie's been in to meet them." She smiles softly and the doctor nods, "just make sure not to push yourself too much when it comes to visitors. Your body just went through a lot and you need time to recover."
