Newt POVSetting: The diner (A/n: I'm gonna try doing that)
I walked into the diner, actually on time for once, and headed to grab an apron. I was pretty proud of myself for making it on time.
"Newt! Where have you been?!" Yelled a familiar voice. I turned around and saw Teresa walking over to me. "What?" I asked, why was she so mad at me? "Where have you been? I tried calling you but you didn't answer so I went to your house and you weren't there. Were you cheating on me!?" She looked a little close to tears. If you couldn't already tell, she's really clingy... "I was just hanging with some friends," I said honestly, but she didn't seem to buy it. "Really? And what friend was that? Last time checked you didn't have any friends." Well, that really hurt. "His name is Minho, and I do have friends!" I almost yelled, making heads turn towards us. "Let's take this somewhere else..." I say.
I lead her to the back of the diner. "I do have friends! And you don't need to be so clingy!" I said, and she just looked me dead in the eye and said, "Well, I can be clingy if I want! I'm your girlfriend, but you can't tell me what to do!" She yelled. "Okay, do what you want. I just don't want you to be clingy is all! Okay?" She looks at me and a tear rolls down her cheek. "We need a break." She says and she walks away, telling Alby she's leaving early. Well, that went great.
After that, I went and got ready to take orders and do my job, when Alby walked up to me. "Newton, what was that all about? We've had 3 customers leave already!" He yells. I sigh, today was not my day. "She thinks I'm cheating on her, and she's being clingy... I'm sorry." His once angry fave softens with a look of pity. "Sorry, I didn't know. Would you like to take the day off too?" He says and I shake my head. "No, it's fine." He nods and walks back to his small office. I take a deep breath in, then let it out and started taking orders.
(Time skip to after his job)
After work, I headed home like any other day. Well, except it wasn't every other day. Teresa left me I guess. I don't understand why she was so mad at me. I was gone one day, and she says we need a break? Ugh, to make it even better, it looked like it was about to rain. It was like a sad movie scene.
Once I got home, I didn't really feel like going in, so I thought I would take a short walk. Like I said, it was gonna be short so I shouldn't get rained on. I started walking down my street when I felt a few drops in my head. I shrugged it off thinking I could go a little longer.
When I was at a park, I felt the drops start to get heavy. I looked up and... It started pouring. Again, like a dramatic movie scene. In at least a few minutes, I was soaking wet, and that made me cold and very uncomfortable. I sighed, today was really not my day...
I started walking home when I saw a figure in the rain. He looked lost, cold, and... is that Tommy? I walked- limped over to him and he looked like he might've been... crying? Once I saw him crying, I ran as fast as I could over to him. When I got there, I almost ran into him, but stopped right before I could. He turned to me, he looked heartbroken. Why was he so sad? "N-Newt?" He asks, his voice cracking. "Yeah, it's me. What's wrong?" I ask, crouching a little to be eye level to him. He didn't look me at me, just turned his head. "You'd hate me." He whispered. What? Why would I hate him? "Tommy, I could never hate you... Tell me what's wrong." I said, rubbing his arms to help calm him down a bit. "I c-can't... You'll h-hate m-me!.." he hiccups, tears streaming down his face. Without thinking, I put my hand up to his face and caressed his cheek, trying to whip his tears but the tears kept coming. "No, Tommy, I won't. I promise. Just... please tell me." I whispered. He sighed. "Promise?" He says. "Promise," I repeat. He nods and takes a deep breath. "I told my parents I'm... I'm..." He stopped and took another deep breath in. "I told my parents I'm gay..." He looks away again. "A-and then they kicked me out... And now I don't know where to go, and I don't know what to do, and I'm just so confused!" And then he started crying again, but he wrapped his arms around me and cried into my chest. I rubbed his back and said, "Oh Tommy, I could never hate you for that..." He continued crying and I thought for a second. What if he?... "Tommy, would you like to come live with me? At least for a little while?" He looked up at me with a shocked face. Oh no. He thinks I'm weird. He thinks- "R-really? You would d-do that... for m-e?" He whispers. "Yes, anything for you Tommy. Anything." A small smile appears on his face, causing a small smile to form on my lips. He gives me a big, bear hug. "Thank you, Newt! Thank you so much!" I hug him back, until I realize he's shivering. "Tommy, how long have you been out here?" He looks at me and says, "About an hour or two." My eyes widen, "Tommy! We need to get you home!" I grab his hand, and lead him to my house.
Once we get there, I hurry him in and grab the things I need for some hot chocolate. He sits on the couch, and While I'm waiting for the milk to heat up, I grab the warmest blankets I can find and give them to him. His lips were blue from the cold and he kept shaking, his teeth chattering. I wish I could do more than warm blankets and make him hot chocolate, but I didn't know what. I stared at him while he tried to warm up. He looked... cute. I was allowed to say that now since Teresa and I were taking a break. Now, I could say how cute, beautiful, funny, kind, and sweet he is, without feeling like I'm a big jerk of a boyfriend. I was too busy staring that I didn't hear the timer go off.
"Newt, what are you staring at?" Thomas asks, smiling. "Huh? Oh, n-nothing," I say then I walk over to the oven to get the milk. I grab the other things I needed, then mixed them all together, making my famous hot chocolate.
"T-Thank you, Newt," Tommy says as I hand him his hot chocolate. "Of course, anything else I could do for you?" I ask, sitting down next to him. "Could... could we uh... could we cuddle?" I ask, looking down. I smile, "Of course Tommy," he smiles and leans his head on my shoulder, scooting closer to me. "Thanks again Newt," I say. "Anytime Tommy, anytime."
We both sat there in silence for a while until, "Hey Newt?" Tommy asks. I hum in response. "Can you tell me a bit about yourself?" He asks I smile at him, "Sure, but you have to tell me about you too." He nods. "Deal." And so, I told him about my parents, old friends, school, London, everything, and he told me about himself too. Turns out we have a lot in common.
For what felt like minutes was hours, it was almost 11 when I checked the clock. "Oh, Thomas! Don't you have school tomorrow?" I ask turning to him, but he didn't answer. He was asleep! And he was the cutest thing in the world. I couldn't take my eyes off him. He was just... gorgeous. After a few minutes, I tried to go to sleep, but... failed...
(A/n: Yay! Newt and Teresa are done and stuff! Yay! Finally! Though, poor, poor Thomas... Anyway, I love you all my lovely, little turtles! Good morning/night/evening for wherever you are in the world or whenever you're reading this! BYEEE!!!)
