24. Tensions Rise

Jayden's p.o.v.:

"O!" Everyone around me yelled as they all took their masks off and found out who the people they talked to were. Many of them began to compliment each other.

Each saying that they looked pretty and they never imagined they'd be friends with a person like them.

It was so cool to see what a simple club could do, it could either bring everyone together or create an ultimate disaster.

Luckily for me no disasters had yet to occur throughout the time I began president.

"You really want to find  out who I am?" My girlfriend asked, who I called bae and honey most of the time.

"Of course, why would I not want to know?" I replied and smiled as I patiently waited for her to take off her mask.

Either way she was going to be perfect in ever shape and form to me. She was my world after all, or at least what I wanted her to be. Sadly, you can't control how you feel towards people.

I learned this the hard way, no matter how hard you tried, you can never force yourself to fall in love with someone when your heart aches to be with someone else.

And I felt like a slut as Evan said before for doing what I did.

She took her mask off and their I found the most beautiful person that I was about to crush and I didn't know how I would ever forgive myself for this.

"I'm Nancy Mandelez." She said and smiled as she shook her hand with mine and smiled at me.

"My sunshine." I whispered and wrapped her into an emotional hug. As I began to cry I knew Nancy had no idea why I was crying.

"Nancy?!" Someone yelled and stared at her in disbelief. The person that yelled was unfamiliar to me but based on the shocked expression that she had I knew trouble was going to occur.

"Damian I can explain." Nancy quickly said her eyes becoming watery. "Okay lets see explain to me why you're with this slut and cheated on me from the very beginning of our relationship." They guy began as his voice rose and was filled with anger.

"Don't call her a slut, take that back!" Nancy yelled and stood in front of me as if her tiny body could be used as a shield to protect me.

Just the gesture that she did made my heart melt and break.

"Nancy——" I began but was cut off when I saw the guy slap Nancy across the face and begin to curse her out.

"Watch your goddamn language!" I yelled and kicked him in the stomach followed by placing my leg behind his and pulling it towards me so that he would fall backwards.

I guess dads daily defense lessons ended up being useful.

"You are being reported and you better get out of this ballroom if you're not going to behave or you better be a millionaire because I will sue you. And I'll make sure that every cent you have goes to me." When I said this to the boy he had a shocked expression written all over his face.

"Nancy." I said as I turned around and faced her. "Let's go." With that I led her away from the guy and checked her face to make sure she wasn't hurt.

"I'm sorry things had to end this way——" Nancy tried to say but she was ended up sobbing.

"Honey, it's fine——"

"No its not I cheated on the both of you! I'm sorry, I was trying to find myself and I got you two entangled."

"What?" I asked.

"I used you! The only reason I've dated you is because I wanted to figure out if I was bi, lesbian, straight or whatever." She whispered.

"I never meant to be in two relationships, but I figured it out. I am bi and I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused. But I really don't like you." She said and smirked as she said the last sentence.

"I really hate you. You're so annoying. As much as I try you bitch and moan to much. I don't even know how I was capable of dating you. We're finally over! See ya." She finished and walked off towards the exit.

A new feeling emerged in me that I thought I would never feel again.

Depression and anxiety.

[flashback]

"I need more emails!" I heard Evan exclaim to Jared from his room as I walked in with a bowl of cereal. They got into an argument that I didn't understand Evan pleaded me to help him with the fundraiser.

"After ignoring both of us for so long?" I asked and laughed at him.

"This isn't funny don't be like Jared."

"I have the right to do whatever I want, and I don't want to be used once again."

"Thats so hypocritical of you Jayden."

"Excuse me?"

"Yeah you go on saying you won't be used, meanwhile you use others all the time. Don't act like everyone doesn't know how you use your parents money for control."

"Take that back." I growled and glared at Evan.

"And I didn't even get to the part were you used that girl to try and stop your feelings for Zoe."

I stood their in shock and I'm pretty sure Jared also heard everything that Evan was saying from outside.

"You slut"

"Stop."

"Here I thought you were better than Jared. But instead I find you gushing over my girlfriend. All you want is to get laid by every girl in school."

That was the final straw, I took the remaining cereal and milk I had in my bowl and poured it all over Evan and finally slapped him as I locked myself in the closet.

[end of flashback]

My phone buzzed as I opened up Instagram and found a picture of Zoe in a casual outfit. The label read 'Going out tonight!'

Why couldn't she be into girls? She was the one for me, but she didn't feel the same.

"Things will get better..." I whispered to myself as I walked outside and found Jared and y/n hugging each other.

"I hope you're happy." I whispered to the two bitterly.

I looked down at my phone and found thousands of comments under Zoe's post from asking where she was going to judging her clothing style.

But one thing stood out to me.

A comment that read "Zoe's cell phone number, if my sources are correct."

My heart began to speed up at the thought of Zoe being endangered.
