Y/n's p.o.v.:
"Dude what the hell!" I said and began to laugh at what Jayden was trying to do. Apparently, I was drooling all over GV during the last club meeting and Jayden was imitating how I was acting.
"Don't deny it, you're helpless okay!" She said as she laughed and pinched my cheek. "Yeah sure." I replied and rolled my eyes, there is no way I would ever admit to falling for GV.
"Hey, but aren't you excited to go to the masquerade ball!" Jayden said and rolled around in her fluffy blankets making her look like a bundled up marshmallow of some sort.
"Ball?" I asked her and she rolled her eyes at me. "What do I have to do to get you to listen to me." She answered and moved forward leaving her cocoon that she made in her bed.
"My dad wanted to make the final year of me being president of this club special so he rented out a ballroom from one of his many friends." She began.
"I was kind of unsure about this but its all free and we're all wearing masks that my mom can make since she usually helps out in shows when they want to make clothes for a cast. And if some people can't afford my mom knows someone that made dresses for that huge musical Hamilton and she can help make one for free." She said happily.
"How do you guys even manage that, seriously you're like wealthy rich." I said and then realized what I said midway into my sentence.
"You sound like Evan!" Jayden laughed and shook her head back and forth. "When we were 12 I invited him over to my birthday party and after that we had a project together and we had a similar conversation."
"Yeah, just not used to having so much given to me." I mumbled and began to draw circles on the floor with my finger.
"Well she could make a dress for you, just need to get the measurements and then it'll be done." She exclaimed her eyes become bigger and more excited within seconds.
"But dresses aren't really my thing." I began but she quickly shook her head.
"Is not your thing because you think it's to girly? Have you even given it a chance?" She questioned.
"Well... I never found a reason to wear one." I confessed, seriously they never really drew much attention to me.
"Well you're going to have to get one, if you're not going to choose I'm going to get one for you."
"Do I have a choice?" I asked seeing if I could get out of this situation.
"Nope, lets see I'm going to try going with a yellow dress like Belle and my bae is going with a pink dress like Aurora, oh you should go as Cinderella!" She grinned and went on and on about us being super cute with our dresses.
But I wasn't even listening, I was just internally freaking out. So many times I had been called Cinderella in my life and I smiled. Didn't I deserve my own happy ending? After everything I've went through, Cinderella would've already found her other half, why couldn't I?
"Screw it, lets do it!" I yelled as a grin was plastered into both of our faces.
Let's just say that when Jayden said the lady was close friends with her mother, she really meant it.
Within half an hour the lady came running and yelled, "Where is she?" Jayden's mother laughed and motioned her towards me as I waved awkwardly at her.
"Well look at you you're so gorgeous do a spin." She squealed as I obeyed and spun around. "Have you thought of a dress that you want?" The women which I learned was named Maria Reynolds asked and she smiled when I told her I had no clue what dress I wanted.
"I feel like a Cinderella dress would definitely suit her what do you think?" Jayden asked her as she sat down and began to munch on some potato chips.
"Cinderella oh that will be so cute, you're going to look like a princes just leave it to me y/n!" She said and smiled.
Maria was quick to measure my hips, waist, bust and height. "Leave it all to me and I'll have the dress ready in, when's it due by Jayden?" She quickly asked her.
"1 week." Jayden managed to answer threw her stuffed mouth that was filled with potato chips.
"1 week, I can manage." She replied and wrote the date down, with that she waved goodbye and left.
"I should get going as well." I said once Maria left and both of them lead me to the front door as I walked home.
I couldn't help but wonder how it would feel like to actually be able to be in a relationship with GV. What if he felt the same way? Would my mother disapprove of him?
Well he wasn't Jared and anyone other than Jared made her unsure. She always said we shared something special when we were young.
I guess she was just saying things because in the end we went our separate ways. It wasn't until this year that we finally saw each other again.
However, I don't think he remembers me. I don't think anyone remembers me, well except Evan. He was a really sweet boy and I always felt bad and wanted to hug him for everything he's went through.
And just as I passed a cream colored two story house I heard someone scream. "Fuck you Evan, asshole!" I couldn't place a finger on that familiar voice.
Until Jared came out of the house with tears pouring down his eyes. He didn't seem to see me as he walked across the street.
If Evan was there in the house then he didn't come out for a while because I didn't see him walk out as I continued to walk home.
Once I got home I did all my chores and I got a text from GV.
GV: People are disgusting, you trust them at one point and then they stab you in your back and treat you like trash.
You: I totally get you. I think that happens to everyone.
GV: Enough of me, tell me how was your day.
You: Better now that you texted me.
GV: Oh so you're the flirtatious one now?
You: Yes, it's time to switch roles.
We ended up texting each other for what seemed like forever and I hoped I made GV feel better. If I couldn't help Jared at all when I saw him, at least I made GV feel better.
Wait, scratch that, I didn't care about Jared anymore. GV was my world and maybe one day I would be able to be his world as well.
With that thought I went to bed and slept peacefully.
