Y/n's p.o.v.:
It had been a month or so that I was officially with Jared and we had put our past behind. I honestly would've never thought that we would both end up together in the end.
However senior year was coming to an end and I wasn't ready to leave him or any of my friends behind.
Jayden, had her entire life planned out. She wanted to follow in her fathers footsteps and was beginning to get jobs in musicals such as mean girls, the lightning thief, hamilton, and even went for the main female role in one of the musicals that his father was in. It wasn't as popular as before but she still wanted to be in that role.
Evan, he got better after the entire squip incident. Apparently someone had mixed the pill into his drink and the squip had told him that he could help him with Connor. Oh yeah did I mention that he came out as gay? Well apparently he had tried to use the squip to cope with the death of the guy he loved.
The poor guy didn't go to school for the next month and decided that he would go to community college and find some scholarships so that he could pay for college. He didn't seem upset by it at all though, he even became more open and was slowly getting rid of his anxiety.
Zoe, well I didn't know much about her. Jayden was the only one that talked to her and then it went further into having a relationship with her. Apparently Jayden had feelings for Zoe this entire time but didn't know if Zoe felt the same. I knew Zoe wanted to be with Jayden so she was going to follow Jayden's path into the entertainment industry.
Alana was also ready to leave high school the moment she stepped into it. She was going to be a journalist and would work for the local newspaper company. It really suited her because she enjoyed talking to others and learning new things.
That left Jared and I. Jared had decided to go to a local college to major in Computer Science. I was so happy for him. He was finally going to achieve his dream and whenever he talked about programming his eyes twinkled.
We were both hanging out at a park that Evan showed us. It was really calming and peaceful. "Have you thought about what you're going to do in the future?" Jared asked breaking the silence of the park.
"Not really, I thought maybe follow Evan since its the cheapest option, my mom doesn't have the best job you know? So maybe I'll pick a major then." I replied.
"It's going to be horrible having to do all that homework each and everyday plus college will be ten times more difficult than high school." I groaned as Jared laughed.
"We'll have each other at the end of the day so that will help us, won't it?"
"Of course it will." I smiled and pecked his lips.
"We aren't going to split up right?" I asked the sudden question that had formed in my head.
"What no! Why would you think that?" Jared asked confused.
"Well, you're going to another college and what if you find someone else? I just don't.... don't leave me alone after all we've went through." I finished and hugged him tightly.
"Of course I won't leave you alone. Never again. Plus I was kind of hoping that we'd be together for the rest of our lives, maybe change your name to The Insanely Cool Mrs. Kleinman." Jared whispered making me blush.
"Jared what the hell." I laughed and smiled, maybe one day we would become more but for now I was glad that we were together.
Days kept passing by, one after another and soon the final day of school was here. (more like the first day of school ;-;)
"We should totally have a party at my place, my parents aren't home so we can stay up as late as we'd like. We can even watch some R rated movies." Jayden told our group as we all walked out of the school in unison.
"I bet you're just going to go hide with Zoe and try to finish what you started in the bathroom." Jared teased making Jayden and Zoe blush.
"Jared stop." I scolded trying to hold back a laugh.
Alana and Evan where behind the four of us talking, they had become the best of friends and hung out together a lot. Mostly because Jayden was busy with Zoe and I spent my time with Jared.
"We should watch The Kissing Booth or To All The Boys I've Loved Before! Peter could slap me and I'd be like thank you." Zoe said to which we all laughed.
"Peter is smashable though you have to admit." I chimed in.
"What about me?!" Jared questioned with a shocked expression.
"Honey look its okay some guys are just a little hotter than you but thats okay because only you are able to make me laugh when I feel down." I say and poke his nose.
"We aren't watching that movie with Peter." Jared states making all the girls groan including Evan.
"I was actually looking forward to seeing that movie." Evan admitted.
"You're boyfriend is jealous." Jayden teased.
"Dude. Jared. Honey?" I say but he doesn't look my way. "Fine, my boyfriend Jared Kleinman is way hotter than any boy I've ever met and all other boys are trash to me. Sorry Evan." I whisper the last part.
This gets Jared's attention and he wraps his arms around me spinning me in a tight hug. "My girlfriend is the hottest as well!"
"Can we watch the movie then?" I ask him to which he finally gives in.
Once we get to Jayden's house we all go to the living room and put on the movie as Jayden and Zoe make the popcorn.
"Why are the taking so long to make the popcorn?" Alana asks.
"They're probably making out." Both Jared and I say at the same time.
"I heard that!" Zoe yells from the kitchen.
"You didn't deny it!" Jared yells back.
As we watch the movie I end up cuddling next to Jared and wiping his face once or twice when he cries. Towards the end all of us are a mess and have a bunch of tissues by our sides.
"You were never second best." Jared whispers into my ear at the end of the film. "Too soon." I say as I shake my head and collect my tissues to throw out.
"I think I need something funny to stop my crying." Zoe says.
And that's how our movie night went. We ended up watching some rom-coms, followed by some action and then horror.
Let's just say Jared wasn't the best when it came to jump scares. He would end up stealing my pillow to hide his face from the t.v. or even move me in front of him, making me sit on his lap, as he hid from whatever creepy face came up next.
It wasn't the best experience for me at all having nothing to hide behind I had to watch the entire movie yelling every time I got scared.
_______
The next chapter should be an epilogue. This story was kind of short so I may create another Jared x reader in the future.
Honestly I kind of lost the urge to write for this story but I wanted to finish this story rather than have it discontinued and mock me in the future.
Also Peter is everything
